I only know of them from the Buzzcocks connection and the Ministry cover, but this is pretty good. A mixed bag of styles, I couldn't pin it to any particular genre.

Great band. Give "Secondhand Daylight" a blast next, I often think Faith No More might have been inspired by them in parts

Noted, will put it on the list.

Yeah, I can see the FNM thing, there's that same stylistic shift from song to song that makes them difficult to define or categorise.

Joe Pass - Trio

With Oscar Peterson in the band. Amazing album.

Only know the album with Shot From All Sides. Savage. That song is a favourite.

That's the one I had on. Two versions of it on that 2007 reissue.

Obviously side one is where the 'hits' are, but side two is serious business.

I sat on this for decades, fucking hell I've wasted so much time. Anyway

Hüsker Dü: Metal Circus
Therapy?: We're Here To The End

Red House Painters - Bridge.

I just love this album and I'm not really into them much otherwise except for Fun house, which isn't as good as Bridge. I don't have anything else like this in my collection at all and it scratches an itch that seemingly nothing else does.

If anyone is familiar with it, are there other bands that would have the same buzz at all? I'd like to try a few.

Also, A-Ha - Scoundrel Days. An absolutely perfect album really. So many class tunes on it and so well sequenced. Listened to it twice in a row. Super super stuff and one of those albums I've known since I was a kid and still gives me the proper buzz whenever I lash it on

Great album.

Fatboi Sharif - various bits n'pieces. Must go see him in August, this is the kind of weirdo hip hop I like.

Great album.

Between the odd mention here and the Limmy sketch, I had to give this a go. 3 songs in, so far it's competent synth pop. I've generally liked the singles I've heard from them, so far so good here.

If you're not familiar with Low, get in there straight away. More recently, the new Amy Rose Mills  or Cancer House lps - a little bit more ethereal than RHP but in that ballpark, the latter especially.

Codeine are worth checking out. Frigid Stars and The White Birch are both great.

I am indeed unfamiliar with Low I'll go at that nice one sound for the rec

Heard the name mentioned a lot but without any context sound for the rec there as well

I listened to Bridge again today it's such a class album

Thinking about Rick Froberg yesterday. 3 years gone already.

"Audit In Progress" - Hot Snakes

"Yank Crime" - Drive Like Jehu

Which led me to dig out;

"At Action Park" - Shellac

Also;

"Reckoning" - REM

"Cortex Vol. 2" - Cortex - great stuff. Bought this at the weekend after hearing the track "Datura" in a coffee shop recently. Check this shit out;
