I own a load of Swans albums, but have somehow never heard this one. Bought the CD in Tower yonks ago but never got around to listening to it until now. Fucking brilliant.

God yeah it's great I only had it on the other day myself

Kicking myself for not listening to it sooner. I was obsessed with The Great Annihilator for a while, but this tops it I think. It's nearly 30 years old but sounds like it came out today.

Another MacDiarmada brother and featuring the same picture as used for Vircolac - Veneration.

Put this one on the long finger to check out, but you prompted me to cop on.

Sounds unreal, right up my street. Heavy fuzzy groove, creeping atmosphere, plenty interesting bits to hold onto weaving throughout that groove.

it's actually closer to 40

The video for New Mind was on the last episode of the old Channel 4 show The Tube. They commisioned it specifically for the show, apparently. Think that or "A Screw" on the chart show was the first time I even encountered them as a nipper but obviously it was years before I actually got into them properly.

The most recent reissue of Children Of God had Feel Good Now as a bonus disc. Great contemprary live album.

That's the reissue I bought in Tower a few years ago. Going to throw Feel Good Now on this morning.

Fuck, you're right! That must be my subconscious denying my true age.

Started the day with Christ. (aka Christopher Horne), then happened to see Steve Von Till bigging up Throbbing Gristle, so that seemed a doubly fitting transition.

Aye but all good reads.

Nitzer Ebb: Belief

Youtube recommendation discovery, this album by one Estas Tonne. Instrumental folk guitar. I checked out some of his other stuff, a lot of which seems to be more new agey, but this is a great listen:

Claudio Simmonetti:Demons
Westside Connection:Bow Down
Gary Human:I, Assassin (yes I did the Partridge bass bit too)

Nice new track from their upcoming release. They're really developed and grown on me since my first time seeing them (left me pretty unimpressed at the time) and have just honed into something great. If you like a one note kraut psych jam buzz, this may scratch an itch
