A new project with Kenny Hickey, Johnny Kelly, Kirk Windstein and Todd Strange. They put out a song a few months ago which wasn't bad but the new song is really good. I'm now excited to hear a full album whenever they get it done.

Not bad, not what I expected either. Soundgarden immediately came to mind.

What I like about it is it's not trying to just sound exactly like a Type O/ Crowbar mash-up. You can hear some of those traits but it has its own kind of style and energy developing. The Soundgarden comment isn't far off the mark, but there's also a lot of Ozzy in the mix. I like it.

I'm glad kirk got in on the vocals because the main complaint I had with Kenny was that a full album of his vocals is hard to take. It offered a bit of light and shade in Type O but it's a bit one dimensional on his own and he needs a foil of some sort. I'll definitely give the full thing a run when it comes on.
