I hope it goes ahead, I'd like to see them 1 last time & my 3 girls would love to see them too.

Quote from: leatherface on November 15, 2023, 11:11:52 PMI was at their Punchestown concert in 2009.  Malcolm was there and the setlist was a solid greatest hits affair. The rain and some sections of the (huge) crowd weren't so great however. Don't seem to remember paying an exorbitant amount for the ticket.

Setlist on the day was:  https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/acdc/2009/punchestown-racecourse-naas-ireland-7bd6724c.html

I remember singing along to Dog Eat Dog and some gowl of a country lad couldn't work out how I knew the words to songs that weren't Back in Black or Thunderstruck.

Even if it's their last time round, I'd rather leave it be, especially when the brains of the operation checked out some time ago.

Am reading elsewhere that it's more likely to be the rolling stones for croke park (who announced their US tour today).

Still, even if there is no Irish date I'll probably fly to Europe. I thought they sounded decent overall from the powertrip clips and the setlist was very good.

I wouldn't be surprised to see AC/DC playing Slane.
Always get touted for it and after GNR and Metallica in recent years it wouldn't be a surprise.
In saying that it is a hellhole of a venue.

Any word on this? It's very quiet.

There is now a countdown timer for Monday morning on AC/DC's website. August 17th is the rumour for Croke Park.

I'm assuming it'll be like Coldplay or anything else there. 47-54 different pre sales, premium tickets (the roof), experiences etc etc and it'll cost €700 for two tickets.

Having not seen them before and them more or less being on deaths door I would really like to see them at least once before they call it a day but from what I remember on the old forum weren't the tickets to the show in Punchestown crazy money (close to 200) and that was 15 years ago.

I was at Punchestown, can't remember how much the tickets were but they were definitely not that expensive, I assume this will be around 100 if its on in Ireland.

Nearly sure tickets were around the 80 mark for Punchestown, they'll probably be double that at least

I looked it up and it says 76.50 but I remember a lot of people on Metal Ireland giving out about tickets maybe that was touting. Even at that with it being 76.50 15 years ago I would expect it to be well over 100. Coldplay standing tickets started at 120 according to an article I just read and that is before the rip off TM fees.

Very few snagged the Coldplay tickets at that price. Average was closer to €350

Bruce Springsteen standing tickets for the gigs this year are €160. Would say they'll be not much short of that.
