I haven't seen this mentioned much on here. I've given it a few listens this week and I think it's class. The new Obituary seemed to get a lot more interest than this but I think Chaos Horrific is every bit as good. Hopefully a European tour with an Irish date is on the cards.

Gave it a listen the other day, it's solid, probably slightly above their last two, but I don't see myself ever going back to it.

I havent really given a CC album a proper spin since Kill, this is pretty good though.

Enjoyed the few listens I've had of it.

Yeah, slight preference for it over the last one, there's probably a bit of complacency about a new C.C. insofar as they're so damn good (and consistent) at what they do that they can be taken for granted. This continued art theme is doing absolutely nothing for me though , talk about marketing to the mall.

The artwork is cat. Last one was shocking as well, and not in the way they may have intended.

I didn't realise it was still Vincent Locke doing their covers, the difference between the early and the recent ones is huge. The early ones were genuinely unsettling, had a unique style whereas the 'new' ones are so much more cartoony and throwaway.

It's the same guy? Wow.

I didn't know that meself, if it is the same dude maybe he should try going back to the old school ways and being less digital, cus its all the same now and just doesn't feel cool or shocking in any way, even though I guess it was zombie shit on the early albums too it has character & charm. Kinda the same with the new music in ways but its fucking solid enough like I can't deny its worth a few listens and maybe a buy for the collection if I'm fucked.

I dunno if its just me but I feel sometimes I Would be shocked if the drummer tried something new though? He is solid like and always does the job enough; but the dude is kind of like the death metal Lars a bit,no?

I have to say though there's one CORPSE song a few albums back, from TORTURE, I think is savage, called Scourge of Iron, so fucking catchy man, I keep goin back to it! 8)

Love's artwork, once so dark, unique and sinister is now completely crap.

I find the production on this new one really oppressive or something, there's no space for it to breathe at parts nearly, which shouldn't be the case for this type of DM I don't think.

I've wasn't a big CC fan in my formative listening days, but the last few years I've actually spent some time with the albums. Not really listened the post 2000s stuff as much, just dipping in here and there, which I must, but it's so solid across the board. Was on a big Gallery kick this summer.

It's commendable how they've managed to keep a standard and a fanbase rabid for as long as they have even if it's not always my cup of tea. 16 studio albums and people are raving about this one.

Yeah the change in Locke's digital approach is unreal, as evidenced by this direct comparison

Was just having a flick through all the album art. Reckon it was after Kill that Locke's artwork started going downhill

Always thought the Kill cover itself was pretty good despite being very minimal, certainly stands out amongst the rest at least

Butchered at birth is one of the greatest album covers and it's a brilliant album .

I can't imagine who would buy a new CC album , surely even the most die hard fan has grown tired of them .

Don't like corpsegrinder at all
