Think I'm with Danny overall. I like the aesthetic and name, it pushes a few buttons too, but I do agree that the comparisons are overstated, I've no love for those bands anyways so after a few listens I think I'm trying too hard to like it, probably done with it now.

The Lizzy/Feg comparisons are probably overstated, it's more of a melodic death metal release in the vein of Grenadier/House of Atreus etc. There are still hints to Irish-inspired leads so no other way to put it.

It's definitely polarising but I have to say I've played it a good dozen times in the car.

Just released a new album, went to pick it up on bandcamp and it's listed as $999, anyone know what the story is with that?

ah yeah, it's just to stop people buying it. Usually a thing bands do before the album is properly released (ie it'll probably come down to a usual price once it's out on physical format)

Headsplit records are selling the CD and Tape.

Ah grand, hopefully an EU distro will pick it up soon then, don't fancy paying the postage from the US

Slight aside, if anyone is planning to order from Headsplit and likes grindcore, hold on two weeks til they put the Fake Dust album out and grab that off them as well.
