Haven't listened to it yet myself, but guessed a fair few of ye would be into this:
https://open.spotify.com/episode/3tRWIWxdiGn9qRnYc2idu6?si=a4mlXmiqQ-eHdF9aoRrLmQ&nd=1

Edit: The preamble is 15 minutes long, so skip in that much if it grates.

Class, he actually interviewed him about 4-5 years ago, but it didn't record properly and the audio was unusable. Been waiting for this one for a while!

I generally find his music related podcasts very interesting, regardless of genre.

Yeah I was looking forward to this.  Good auld intersection of interests for me here (lived in Van for years, big auld DT fan).  Won't have a chance to listen until tonight/tomorrow though.

I remember them talking about recording one before but the audio being shambolic alright, glad they had another go.  Listened to both their podcasts a good bit during the height of Covid too, both interesting chaps.  Would recommend listening to at least the Ocean Machine and City album podcasts from DT even if you have a slight interest, they're excellent (and onwards up to Ki if you are a fan anyway).

Ah grand. Will try get on this later cheers for the link

Yeah that was excellent.  Great chat they had, nice takes on art and creativity mostly.  Would recommend that to anyone especially if you are creating at all (music especially but they touch on everything), whether they were a fan of the two lads or not, it's just a good talk rather than an interview that had some interesting thoughts and points right through, as well as the funny asides.

He wears a bag over his head. A plastic bag. Over his head. He's a grown man. Wearing a plastic bag over his head.

An adult. Probably has a driving licence. And a day job.

Plastic bag. On his head.

Don't we all?  Anyway I get you but also enjoy the absurdity of it all.

You sound like a robot

Do you think he wears a bag on his head every day? It's part of his costume as an artist. I don't see it any different than Lemmy wearing that big hat. Or Slash for that matter.

Or Slipknot wearing masks.

Or Black Metal bands wearing makeup.

Or Steve Tyler's flashy suits.

Devin Townsend has sat down with him, twice, and had a conversation with him with the bag on his head.... the problem isn't the bag it's you

All the 'costumes' mentioned are also ridiculous. But I can't take anyone seriously with a fucking bag over their head.

I was told I'm more handsome with a bag over my head.

I'm not into his schtick personally and have never listened to his podcast, but maintaining the comic appearance is an interesting way to oblige people to deal with what he says rather than who he is. Because who he is is a lad with a plastic bag on his head. It's so obvious, it's not even worth repeating, and when it is repeated, it feels redundant. So when he gets talking about mental health and various other issues, you have to deal with what he says, because the only other option is to state the bleedin' obvious.

But they don't take away from the ART man, the ART!! Motorhead are legends, Appetite is a class album and 'Dream On' is a banger!

It's an audio only podcast, you don't have to look at him you know  ;)

Did he manage to convince Devin to play Dolan's or not?
