I've been trying to whittle my multi decade list to purely 5. It's damn near impossible but also shows that the stuff that got me into metal is still deemed the best there is (in my eyes). I've been revisiting some of these recently for the first time in a while and it's been like having a class new album all over again. Nothing past 1992 on the list either.

88-93 is where the real gold is for me (with some notable exceptions) and, yeah, it's that mid-late teen era too. I could live without anything from 94 on, to be honest, but there were still some real gems in 93.
