Quote from: The Butcher on June 10, 2026, 09:46:43 AMThe fact you haven't said anything at all about the gruesome attempt of a beheading and would rather deflect to other things says more about you than anything else.

What is there to say about the horrific attack? There's the obvious: I hope that the victim survives, that the attacker is brought to justice, and that any potential institutional negligence resulting in a dangerous man being loose be brought to light. And then there's what matters most: that it doesn't justify the equally horrific response, just like a pogrom against the entire NI protestant community wouldn't have been justified every time the UVF barbarically and publicly tortured and murdered a catholic. But rhetoric like "they're not Western aligned" is the tar on the brush that smears all people of colour, including many Christians, and sees their houses set alight or invaded by armed thugs who would have been cheering on the Shankill Butchers attacks just a few decades ago.

"equally horrific response'

Disagree if you like, but yes: to me setting a house with children as young as two months inside it ablaze, all of them too terrified to leave by the front door because of the baying mob, is as equally horrific an act as one man brutally attempting to murder another man in the street. They're both attempted murders. And one involves children.

There are some migrants who are clearly not compatible with western society. And of course it's a pity that they will now all be tarred with the same brush.

There will have to be stricter migration controls brought in. The common travel area we share with the UK is clearly not monitored properly and there is a lack of cooperation between relevant bodies in both jurisdictions.

No justification for last night's antics by cunts and it's tragic that it takes an event like this to, hopefully, make both governments get their shit together.

From the 12th Brussels will control our borders as the Irish Government handed this power over to them 2 years ago. The EU will determine the minimum number of migrants each country has to take and it will be a 20k fine per person for every migrant under this number that is refused. These numbers will also increase based on the EU deciding if a situation happening in any part of the world is an emergency or not.

Along with the 20k fine if someone is refused they can only be sent back to another country once educational / medical needs are met there. So it's going to be next to impossible to deny people.

This was all something we were well within our rights not to sign up for not to mention the citizens had no say whatsoever. I guess this is more of the great democracy the Irish Government keeps reminding us we are so lucky to be living under. Then if reform gets into power in England most of what's over there is going to head for Ireland.

QuoteThe family of the victim in the Belfast knife attack have issued a statement via Phillip Brett, a DUP member of the legislative assembly.

They ask for privacy and say they are "completely devastated by the horrific attack on our loved one".

They praise those who came to their relative's aid, saying:

"We want to say a profound thank you to the local people who bravely stepped in during the attack. Your quick actions absolutely saved his life, and we will never forget what you did for him in that moment. We also want to thank the emergency services and the doctors and nurses looking after him."

And they urge those angered by the attack to refrain from violence, saying:

"We are aware of the tensions and talk of protests following this incident. We want to make it absolutely clear that overnight unrest is not welcome, and peaceful protest is the only way forward.

"We have many migrants who make a deeply valuable contribution to our country, including in our healthcare system and hospitality sector and we depend on them to make our country work. We do not want this terrible tragedy to be used to divide people or fuel hostility."

From RTE

Hadi Alodid, a Sudanese national, with an address at Duncairn Avenue in the city faces three charges.

He is accused of attempted murder, possession of a knife and making threats to kill a hospital radiographer.

She said the stabbing had been a very serious incident in which the victim had lost his left eye, suffered damage to his right eye, and suffered lacerations to his face and back.

Mr Alodid did not have any family ties in Northern Ireland, was not in employment

When I woke up yesterday the video popped up on Facebook. Absolutely sickening.
I can't understand how countries and the EU don't invest billions and sort out a proper immigration process. One that makes a decision inside 4 weeks and not countless years.
If you're a genuine aslyum seeker fine. 99% of genuine asluym seekers are brilliant people.
But if you're case is refused then just deport. And if you're an immigrant from anywhere and you break the law (not minor things things like a traffic offence) then deport as well.

And this confusion fits nicely into the absolute cunts rioting last night. Blaming immigrants for all their woes when it's big business, corporations and governments that want you blaming the immigrant, so it stops you realising that the top 1% now control 70% of the world's wealth and the working and middle class have to fight for even less resources as wealth is hoarded and proper services not provided. Thats the real scandel. I do despair sometimes at the fucking stupidity of it all.

Ollkiller - I agree with you 100% Nothing to add to that.

This one is before the courts now, harrowing case and the poor child is now non-verbal.

They'll just send raiding parties across the border to steal all the pallets.

Victim seems to have a long history in being the target of savages: in 2001, in Scotland, he was drugged, stripped naked, doused with aftershave and then set on fire by a certain David McLeave. Who is presumably not Sudanese.

Victim also apparently suffered from mental health problems and had over 160 previous convictions. All bets are off regarding what the PSNI may or may not be able to piece together about the lead up to the barbaric final act.

Ah that's alright then. Case closed, he probs deserved it...
Okey-dokey...

I'm not saying that at all. But I wouldn't be surprised if you were saying it about Yves Sakila.

I'm just (mildly morbidly) interested in the mystery of the lead up to the, as I said, barbaric final act (not a word one uses if trying to excuse something)
