Marty Supreme I think I enjoyed more than Uncut Gems.

folk interested can look up Boorman's batshit treatment for a potential Lord of the Rings film, which eventually instead became Excalibur, but in any case, when people say Jackson's trilogy couldn't be improved upon, I do always think that if it had visually looked and tonally felt (i.e. a bit darker) closer to Excalibur, that's two ways it could have been improved. subjective of course, but that's two areas Excalibur beats the LotR movies for me.

If you were on the fence about the 4k disc it's looking like another winner from Arrow.

Twas a good watch but definitely preferred Uncut Gems.

I need to revisit it. I do recall that the ending made it for me, but now I can't really remember what the ending was.

Watched The Voice of Hind Rajab tonight. Does perfectly what it sets out to do, meaning it's an absolute ordeal to get through.

I don't know why the fuck I keep giving Jason Statham films a go, every one is the same, I fast forwarded most of the last one I saw just to get to the revenge parts, and even they didn't hit the spot

Wild - Reece Witherspoon

Pretty solid drama. The human component of the storyline is engaging, plus the hike itself is beautiful. Hard not to escape from the fact though that it's just a hike and not quite the high stakes they try and make it out to be.

K2

I rewatch this about once a year. Great early 90s cheese-fest. From the same era and with a similar feel to Point Break. Michael Biehn going full Michael Biehn. He definitely had the charisma to be bigger than he was.

Throwing the eyeballs over the new Nosferatu once again. And why wouldn't I, says you.

Watched it again myself recently. It didn't have the same effect as watching it in the cinema. Thought it was amazing on the big screen.

I still enjoyed it, I must say. I think Depp-ette's performance was only OK. Maybe a bit too hammy and modern or something? And Willem Defoe was too cheerful for the overall mood of the film. The star of the show for me was really the visual aspect. It just looked so spooky. The castle itself deserves an Oscar!

Must rewatch Nosferatu. I really enjoyed it in the cinema but it wasnt the best of Eggers work, I thought.

Remember thinking that Aaron Taylor-Johnson was a bit much at times.

Yeah, he hammed it up a bit, but he wasn't too bad. There is one scene where his wife is in bed with a delirium and her acting is comically bad. Dunno how they let that one through the net!

Yeah, visually it's one the best films I've seen in a long time. So many scenes would make a great music video.

The scent in the tavern before he gets to the castle is 100% Cultes des Ghoules   8)

I went in with overly high hopes and was a tad let down. Still very good, but...

Think I enjoyed Nosferatu more on the 4k disc as the local IMC can be fucking awful to watch darkly lit movies as the projector and screen need servicing(which seems to be the case in most of them!).
