Last One Laughing good then? There's been a French version for years but I never checked it out because either couldn't stand or had never heard of the comedians in it.

The English one is good alright, I haven't watched any of the others. I believe the Canadian one is decent, I couldn't watch the Irish one - Andrew Maxwell and Jason Byrne are dealbreakers on their own, let alone together.

Few good laughs but not mandatory viewing by any stretch. Didn't know there was an Irish one. Sounds annoying.

I watched this when it was first out. Great show and just like Carnivale it should never have been cancelled.

The Irish one was miles funnier than the English one. Way more laughs.  David McSavage was great in it, and to my astonishment Amy Huberman was pretty funny too.

Would have loved another season of Vinyl, but apparently it was a hugely high budget and nobody watched it. Given it hasn't really achieved any kind of post-life interest either I guess it is what it is. Probably made the sin of coming out when rock was really dead in the charts and hiphop was at its zenith, so the young audiences probably just weren't interested in it.

I didn't make it past the pilot, despite being absolute target audience

Started Years and Years on Netflix. It came out in 2019 but is set around 2024. The level of prophecy in it is scarily uncanny. Ukraine. The far right getting into power in the UK. Trump bombing places. It really is scarily accurate.

New Malcolm in the Middle mini-series.
Binged it with fam over breakfast this morning.
Is it up to the genius of the original series? Obviously not. But still very enjoyable.

The original is still one of the best comedy series ever made.

I loved it when it came out but it was on so much I became physically allergic to it and ended up hating it.  I haven't seen an episode in years at this stage.

That's how I feel about The Simpsons and Friends. Used to love them and watched them every single day after dinner on Channel 4. Two episodes of The Simpsons and two episodes of Friends right after. Did that for years and years, watching rerun after rerun. By the time they were done it was like 8pm every night.

At some point in my later teens I realised I was completely wasting my life and it led to a period of not watching TV at all for almost 10 years (I still watched films on DVD). Even at this point I've still never had terrestrial TV in over 25 years, though I do watch shows on streaming now again. Not The Simpsons or Friends though...

Ya, I couldn't bring myself to watch Malcolm..., or Scrubs reboots now. Haven't watched The Simpsons since I probably last watched Friends. That said, I enjoyed the Frasier reboot.

same, pity the new Frasier got canned after 2 seasons. I really enjoyed it. It is one of the best comedy series ever. And to my knowledge the most successful spin off.

The Malcolm reboot is very good. The original series dragged on for way too long, but the reboot is only 4 short episodes.

Started watching Veep on HBO Max. Absolutely brilliant, although the current escapades in the White House make it look quaint by comparison.
