I bounced off FFXVI hard. Don't feel like a FF game, rather it was trying to be a Devil May Cry clone.

Was also the only game in my almost five years of owning a PS5 that made the fan go nuclear. I can barely tell it's running with other games.

Quote from: Ducky on June 10, 2025, 11:38:40 AMWas just on my way out the door there and realised my copy of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was on the doorstep. Won't get a chance until the weekend to play, but pretty hyped to do so.

Anyone else play it yet? It's supposed to be the best RPG released in years.

Tried it on GamePass but I can't stand turn based stuff at all. My eldest loved it.

Back to Robocop Rogue City for me. All the money spent on Peter Weller , it's a bit of a mess compared to any modern FPS, but it's charming as fuck and they did their homework on all the little bits of Robocop lore that the nerds know.

Gone back playing Doom, the old one, well, the steam rerelease of Doom I + II with all the new level packs.  Just can't ever get sick of it, know the originals inside out.

Basically rotating that and Touhou 10 but that is so absurdly hard that I can play for maybe 30-40 mins before giving up.  Great fuckin fun though and slowly getting further in on each attempt.

Doom:The Dark Ages was savage. They finally tweaked the gameplay that was prone to spiking the difficulty on 2016/Eternal.

Mine had no issues with it. NieR: Automata on the other hand, made my PS4 sound like an A-10 spooling up for takeoff.
Ended up enjoying 16, thought Clive was one of the better FF protagonists. Cleared it, then back to Genshin Impact for the past few months.

Picked up Stellar Blade on sale at the weekend, anyone here played it?

That's gas. Was playing a bit of Death Stranding 2 there - which is supposed to push the PS5's fan hard, and mine barely made a peep with it.

Oh the PS4 was the loudest console I ever owned. Horrible, horrible machine. Couldn't even enjoy it with headphones as I have (old but nice) open backed Sennheisers and could hear the fan over them. Aside from the loudness, the pitch did my noggin in. Only reason I ever finished The Last of Us Part 2 on it was because I wired my noise cancelling headphones to the controller. Unplayable otherwise.

Played about half of Stellar Blade. It's an obvious thirst trap, but a solid enough game. Amazing soundtrack. I never finished it as I played it off the back with Sekiro, which is one of my all-time favourite games, and has by far the best swordplay and parrying in any game. So SB's fell short in that regard (which is kinda unfair because it's still very decent, just not the GoAT like Sekiro).

Does anyone on here have or use the mini consoles? I bought a mini Snes a few years ago that already had Hakchi on it but instead of putting the games through a UBS the person stored them on the machine itself.

I want to add the games via USB as the console has very limited memory but the process for that doesn't seem to work I am guessing due to the games already being installed on the machine. I have ran Hakchi myself on a Sega mini and NES with no issues. Would anyone have any idea how to fix this Snes problem?

I also don't have the original cornal or cernal or whatever it's called for the Snes but I would guess this can just be found online somewhere as it would hardly be unique to each individual machine?
