Or pop a cap in her ass?

No riding, busting, popping, or banging of any kind unfortunately. Not that I've been on one in a long time now, but dating apps are a pet peeve category all of their own.

I would 100% sign up for a QUB course on gangster rap  :abbath:

Today's peeve - young ones/Gen Z working service industry.

Was in buying a birthday card today, approach the counter. No one else in the shop bar the young lad on the till. He looks up from his phone, makes eye contact with me, then puts his head down back into his phone.

I give him ten seconds, then clear my throat really loudly. He looks up again, takes the card off me to scan without saying anything. I hand him twenty quid, he takes it off me, puts it in the till then goes back to his fucking phone! (As an aside, he has poor self safety - his eyes are off me, his till is open within my reach).

I actually got properly thick with him and told him to finish the fucking transaction first. I wasn't proud of saying that, but WTF.

He's handing my change back, €17.25. Hands me the 15, then looks up confused, scratches his head. Had to say "a two euro coin, a twenty cent coin, and a five cent coin".

I get not wanting to be stuck behind a till in a minute wage job, but don't act the bollocks with customers. No more than than the young lass working the bar I was in on Thursday night who says "uh yeah I suppose" when I ask can I get two fizzy waters.

I know every generation says this about the next gen to come along, but something about this gen does feel especially thick and lacking in social skills. Though I guess you would be too if you were raised by social media. Isn't there a literacy crisis among that age group?

I'm a supervisor in the place I work and holy fuck, trying to get the young ones off their phones when they should be working is a constant battle.

Fair point regarding being raised by phones. It's basically brain-rot at this stage.

Their attention spans are shot, and they have handwriting that would have disgraced a six year old from

I dunno, in my anecdotal experience cognitive dysfunction and pure apathy is universally widespread across all cohorts. I see this sorta carry on regularly where I work from people of all walks of life and all educational levels. Guilty of it myself too on days where I just can't be fucked with life in general
