How's your flute is great, they either disengage or they have a proper chat.
Try it in the supermarket or the likes.

One that gets me is when journalists walk slowly towards the camera, or in step with the cameraman as he walks backwards, while giving their presentation. Just fucking stand still, dude! I wonder if it's a little technical detail that is considered difficult to pull off in the industry, and is a way to get nominated for an award, because in terms of viewing it's really fucking (very mildly) annoying

That reminds me of this - Not a pet peeve as it's only happened for a week I was there - but doing jury duty walking up to the court entrance you'll get the court paparazzi turn to you, point the camera in your face and start taking photos, it's really unnerving. Since going digital they just take photos of everyone coming in and out no longer need to be selective or need to know who is who. Strange feeling like an invasion of privacy.

I'M INNOCENT!!! THEY'LL NEVER PUT ME AWAY!!! And then just fucking leg it in the door with your jacket up over your head.

I used to work in the courts. You got used to it, but there was an American girl who worked there who would shout and give the journalists the finger as she walked in the entrance. She was an "activist" who wouldn't shut up about being queer even though she was married to a man. :eyeroll:...I don't really have a point, just highlighting that she really was an awful fucking wagon.

Trying to get used to wearing hearing aids, a necessary evil!

I hear ya man 😅.

From my own experience if they're still uncomfortable after a while it might be worth trying different sizes domes/inserts. The first ones I was issued were way too big.

Genuine question for ye heads with hearing aids - would ye still use headphones for music? Like pop out the aid and insert earphones? Only at home or still use them on the go?

My hearing is all good (but I might need laser surgery this year to stop me going blind, so this declining health shite is all swings and roundabouts  )

Depending on the brand/model you can stream audio from your device to the hearing aids, however I find the streamed audio for my current aids is quite tinny - Android Bluetooth.

I use overhead earphones (Sony WH-1000xm3s) with the aids in and fine tune the hearing aids with the app if too loud/tinny.

For longer listening sessions or for flights I just take out the hearing aids and adjust the mids/highs on the EQ - it's more comfortable.
