In terms of current bands, Ixias are the absolute job  - raw, Discordance Axis inspired savagery
https://ixias.bandcamp.com/album/tinge

Harm are fantastic too
https://harmla.bandcamp.com/

If you're the kind of wimp who moans about "production" however.. maybe skip that and go straight to Internal Rot
https://internalrotters.bandcamp.com/album/grieving-birth

My mate Ryan runs a cool label in the states that just put out this Hallucination Realized/Redundant Protoplasm split. The HR stuff is great
https://theundesirable.bandcamp.com/album/hallucination-realized-redundant-protoplasm-split-undesirable-024

If you like Full of Hell/Unyielding Love and want a slightly more modern death metal take on that kind of grind, try Knoll
https://knollgrind.bandcamp.com/album/interstice-2

Pretty much anything on Nerve Altar - start with Chepang or Stimulant
https://nervealtar.bandcamp.com/

For the most off the wall grind in recent years, try Psoduku. This madness is the work of one man

Actually just dug this out at lunchtime - an absolute classic, totally overlooked 90s Japanese grind band MULTIPLEX

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKRYgNoIGsQ

And an absolute masterpiece from ASSUCK

We played with Hallucination Realized a few years back. Very good live, their singer was very polite and cordial then got onstage, off came the top, instantly raging around the place with some the most insane tatts I've ever seen.

Some recent grind from the past couple of years that really fuckin rips:

Socioclast - S/T

Internal Rot - Grieving Birth

https://youtu.be/_w7zd42pMFo

Caustic Wound - Death Posture

https://youtu.be/eWBxRYUNy9c

Forgot about that Socioclast. Belter record. Got this for review the other day and it's cool

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1aXGbsALZMs

Cheers lads.plenty to keep me going  there .

Whoresnation (fr)are a newer band I've heard who are decent too.

Alot of great bands mentioned, I'm a big Nasum fan, would also recommend Phobia really dig Wormrot. Quite like Rotten Sound, Murderworks and Exit are excellent haven't checked out their more recent output. Nails are decent. River Black which features Dave Witte Human Remains, East West Blast Test which I believe he was involved in aren't bad. Benümb's 'By Means of Upheaval' is worth a blast. Misery Index Retaliate is a belter in my opinion.

That Internal Rot someone mentioned above is quality. First two Nasum records of course.

Don't forget about A Bad Band Incarnate either. The Last Supper is one of the most mental things I've ever heard, even 20+ years later.

Wormrot have been the best for me since Brutal Truth. "Hiss" arrived on Monday so looking forward to spinning that when I get home.

No mention of Pig Destroyer though:
https://pigdestroyer.bandcamp.com/album/prowler-in-the-yard-deluxe-reissue

Some lesser names I've dug the past few years (some not so face ripping as requested, but sure look it the first one will do ya if only that type required!):

https://makkmat.bandcamp.com/album/beina-brenner

https://deadverticalgrind.bandcamp.com/album/xvii

https://sadistro.bandcamp.com/album/egggore-pharmacist-split

https://grindzilla-band.bandcamp.com/album/toshinquandon-2

Inside Conflict - golden oldie at this stage with special memories of catching them live in Cork:
https://camembertelectrique.bandcamp.com/album/unearthed-from-wonderland

I've always been meaning to check out Insect Warfare 🙈 I'll have to check out some more listed here, thanks folks.

Loved that Unearthed from Wonderland album Inside Conflict toured with that time, blew me away. Such a good live band. I liked the early Pig Destroyer albums, up to Terrifyer then lost touch with em'. Just giving Hiss a blast now digging it thus far.

Not sure if considered Grindcore as so much Gore Grind, but Exhumed are up there for me. The last album was great I thought

Nah, more death metal than anything.

I never see people talk about Mule Skinner, who've been around on and off since the early 90s. Pure Terrorizer worship. Better than anything Terrorizer themselves did post "World Downfall"

I'm not getting into the "powerviolence" argument here, because in my book they're grindcore:  listen to Despise You. The most aggressive shit ever.

Re: Pig Destroyer - the one after Terrifyer (Phantom Limb) is their best for me, but I'm a fan of riff/metal-leaning grind over the straightahead blasting stuff anyway:

And sure while we're at it, Agoraphobic Nosebleed's Agorapocalypse is another belter:
