That song is by yer man Kristof anyway. Apparently he's won a temporary barring order against the other lad using the name or releasing anything under the Batushka name which has presumably thrown a fairly big spanner in the works for Metal Blade's version of the band.

Barts version of Batushka was uploaded today.

I recall there was drama around people getting ripped off for the endless limited edition vinyl versions of the debut album but I soon stopped paying attention and they drifted off my radar despite the bits and pieces I heard sounding alright.  I thought they were all anonymous but it seems the veils have lifted so what's the craic now? Two egos split and fighting over rights to the name? Any insight on who the characters are and other associated bands?

Just metal archived them. I must say it came as a surprise to find that Bill Bailey was involved.

Awful mess two bands under the same name comming out with material at the same time. The first track is certainly more to my liking than the Metal Blade version of the band's one

Wait, I thought the Metal Blade version aren't allowed to release anything under the name?

I think that's the main fella of the band (Krzysztof ) as it sounds pretty similar to the debut stuff.

Confusing. The first track posted there is definitely the more interesting anyway.

Jesus that track is awful, absolutely nothing going on there. It's obvious who was the actual creative force in the band between the two tracks.

From what I can gather they're not allowed to, but Bart just isn't honoring the court ruling.

Bart, known from band Hermh (shite band, if You ask me) is a fella behind Witching Hour - infamous, rip-off label and distro. As I'm writing this there is quite fresh thread on NWN forum - started by Yosuke - regarding heaps of stuff this clown owes NWN prod. He screwed over a lot of people over the years, used every dirty trick and dodge, including declaring bankrupcy and transfering the ownership of any actives to his mother, with whom he aparently lives now, being her dependant 8).

Personally, couldn't care less for Batushka's music. Surely, I can't tell with 100% certainty that Bart is in the wrong when it comes to dispute over rights to the name, music, etc... but the fella has an ugly history. Also, if there was any doubt about Batushka being a calculated product and a cash grab... well, some comments made by this gentleman about the band's fans that spilled over to the polish internet did away with it.

Batushka are as mysterious as Spinal Tap doing Stonehenge.

Are you saying that Bart is in danger of being crushed... BY A FUCKING DWARF???

Had a listen to the whole album there, some great parts throughout, will need more listens but first impressions are good. Seems to use less of the choral vocals compared to the first album
