I've been listening to The Hallowing of Heirdom a good bit lately. Liking it a lot. Apart from a bit of Hexvessel I've no idea of anything else in that broad ilk. Neo-folk? Any recommendations lads and ladies for me to explore farther.

Check out the Green Carnation "The Acoustic Verses". I wouldn't really call the Winterfylleth album neofolk but then again my exposure to neofolk would be limited.
Chlanna Nan Con Thigibh A So's Gheibh Sibh Feoil

The Green Carnation stuff is cheesy as fuck. Eurovision shit.

The earls band Winding Stair were pretty cool.

Some songs from the first 2 Ulver albums are very similar to The Hallowing Of Heirdom by Winterfylleth.

forgot to mention Wolcensmen, guitarist from winterfyllth side project, which i actually think is much better than their acoustic release.

I tried Green Carnation many years ago and they didn't stick atall. I remember The Winding Stair alright from an evening on Cork when they done 2 gigs. They were great.

I will give the other suggestions a go. I ended up skiing off piste to Swans Glowing Man album a day or 2 ago.

Good call on Wolcensmen, really enjoying it

Yeah its a top album, glad you enjoyed it.

Check this out Leo,Isenordal

It's basically a largely acoustic doom/folk band. Might be up your street
