Any other famous metal references from pop culture, mention them here.

Ulver - Nattens Madrigal posters in both Meadow and AJ's rooms in the first series of Sopranos.

Wasn't Phoebe's brother wearing a Carcass shirt in a couple of eps?

Recent one is 9 Perfect Strangers ending on Sweet Lucidity. Not exactly a metal tune, but Queensryche all the same.

Fairly sure Buzz was wearing an Obituary shirt a few times in Hardy Bucks.

Slayers Raining Blood being used to disperse a hippy jam in South Park cracked me up the first time I saw that episode  :abbath:

Some Devildriver song was used in an episode of Scrubs

Bill and Jeff from Carcass were in Red Dwarf as Listers old band

Dying fetus were played for Stan's Deathmetal band.

Rob Delaney goes running wearing a Sleep t-shirt in an episode of "Catastrophe" if I recall correctly.

He's a fan of the band though, he wasn't just dressed by the production crew. I saw him interview Matt Pike a few years back about them both being recovering alcoholics.

Delaney is still on the wagon, Matt isn't. Pike used the wagon to ram-raid an off-license.

There's a Mayhem poster in the background in the break room at the Inbetweeners school.

And the obvious one  - Cannibal Corpse in Ace Ventura.

Hardly off-topic!

Not really pop culture or referenced as metal, but locally Cursed Earth outside The Rock Garden in a Smithicks ad, and Averill and Lars waiting at a bus stop being entertained in Custard's Last Stand Up comes to mind (I must convert my VHS recording at some stage 😆)...

Mael Mordha appearing on You're A Star.

Anthrax on Married with Children.

Slayer tshirts on Saved by the Bell. Seen a Slater tshirt design version of the Slayer logo lately.

Metallica posters and music being blasted on Jumanji.

The Giftgrub version of Daniel O'Donnell is always mentioning Cradle of Filth, Necrophagist and the like

Haha, I remember that appearance of AA alright!

Never saw that one but your man who played Custer, George something, was from Celbridge and I used to see him regularly when I worked in Xtra Vision. I'm still kicking myself for being too shy to ask him for his autograph.

Eyehategod in the show Tremé. About life New Orleans in the aftermath of Katrina - made by David Simon, the guy responsible for The Wire. The NOLA scene gets a mention in another episode with names like Crowbar and Goatwhore getting a mention.

...and that absolutely cringe inducing appearance of Metallica on Billions.

Reminds me of my 21st, when my parents wanted to get me a Slayer cake. They probably gave the cake place some vague enough idea about the band, and let them search for an image.

Lo and behold, when the cake was revealed at my birthday, I had AC Slater staring back at me in front of a pentagram, with 'SLATER' in the Slayer style writing. My family didn't know the difference, and thought he was in the band. Still laugh about it to this day.
