They had none. All the shelves are full and faced off. I think my local Lidl is just a bit pants for brews.

No matter, went to Aldi and got six cans of Lough Gill Brewery Native Red. 5.5%, very tasty sup :abbath:

Manislav from Tesco this evening. Very good Pilsner Urquell worship for 1.50 a bottle.

I'm enjoying Beamish out of a can more these days than Guinness.
Deep Down Six Feet, Is Where I Like To Eat

Just having a Hobgolin now for the first time in a few years. Have they changed the recipe or something? I used to love it but this one isn't going down well at all TBH.

Definitely. I said as much a few pages back - Guinness on draught is the best of The Big 3, Beamish when it comes to cans. If you feel like stepping up - try a Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro - the black can. Left Hand make some incredible stouts - Intergalactic Cowboy, Hard Wired Nitro, Peanut Butter etc. - but the original nitro is still the best.

By Christ, I'd murder a pint of Guinness from my local in Cork now but seeing as it only fits about 30 people into on a good night, I can't see it opening very soon - if ever - again.

Yeah, since Marston's took full control of Wychwood, it's definitely gone to the dogs. All the re-branding and fancy new bottles/artwork is like putting pearls on swine. Marston's themselves were bought by Carlsberg recently - this may improve things. Or may just mean that Carlsberg use Marston owned pubs in the UK as a sluice to pump their own products through.

That'd explain it so. I have another 2 or 3 to get through, I'll have to wait til I'm 'suitably refreshed' before hitting them.

Disappointing, it used to be a lovely drop.

I used to date a girl with one leg who worked at a brewery.... She was in charge of the hops.

Pyynikin Black Lager from Lidl is very tasty

Stephen "Trampolines" Donnelly has put a halt to our gallop, lads.

No more topping up your shopping in Dunnes with a cheeky 4 pack to get over the €50 to get a tenner off.

No more 4 for a €10.

No soup for you!!!

Ahhhhh, the joys of living on the border.   ;D

Shoplifting increased quite a bit in Scotland when they brought it in. Might keep lads off the white lightning and shite like that I suppose.

Is that sold in the republic?

From what I can tell - it doesn't affect the sale of cheap drink. Flagons/cans of gut rot and lunatic soup will still be the same price.

The Tesco 4 for €10 on the nice bottles of Guinness will be gone, so. Feck and shite.

I'm sure the shops will figure out some way around it.
Sure as shit they will...  :abbath:

No unfortunately. It's some tack.

Someone should shove Donnelly's egg head up somewhere eggs come out of. The fried bastard.

Brandeberg for me tonight. Bit watery but it's a school night
