I had Sam Adams years ago, before I ever really ventured outside of regular beer and liked it. Seems I still do.

Is Blue Moon available in Ireland? I had that in America years ago, a weiss and they put a slice of orange on top. Delicious if you like the wheats.

Sam Adams Boston Lager (the most popular beer in the range and what we know as Sam Adams) - the US imported version (355ml bottles) is mighty tack. The UK version (usually pint bottles) brewed by Shepherd Neame in Faversham is a dull over-carbonated mess.

Blue Moon is readily available in Ireland now, it's owned by Molson-Coors/Miller-Coors. You can get 4-pack for €8 - €10 in most supermarkets. It's decent for a macro beer.

Sam Adams Summer Ale is well worth checking out if you can find it.

Ah, it was a pint bottle of Sam Adams that I had, and it was indeed muck. I'll look out for the proper one then.

The US version has the size in imperial fluid ounces on the label rather than ml.

Sam Adams is a behemoth of a brewery now - a far cry from where it was 20 years ago. I was in Boston 2 years ago and it was as prevalent as Guinness in Dublin.

I always think of this old Dave Chappelle sketch when I hear Sam Adams.
