I only had the eye test and ordered my first pair of reading glasses last weekend. Sick of reading with one eye closed

I'm also beginning to get on side with Martyr Burke.

My eye sight started to go about 5 years ago, got glasses and just needed them for working on the computer but now I'm on my second stronger pair and having to reach for them to read anything.  I look sexy as fuck in glasses though.

I have glasses for doing intricate up close stuff (ohh missus), but its a pain in the hole as I keep forgetting where I left them when I need them

I always had 20/20 vision. Celebrated my 50th birthday one weekend a few years ago. Went into work the following Monday morning, pulled out some paperwork and realised I needed longer arms.

I'm -6.0 in both eyes, astigmatism up the wazoo, have been told glaucoma is a-comin', and have background diabetic retinopathy.

Getting assessed at the end of the month for laser surgery. Not the "you no longer need glasses" type, rather the "you need this to stop you going blind" type.

Still, beats the other option, which is regular injections into me eyeballs.

Double chocolate Maltesers. I never knew these existed before today. Delightful.

Must look for em', my only treat...it's great cuz none of the little feckers like em' so all mine yum yum

Go for it. Lob them in the fridge and wolf them down with a nice cup of tea.

Had a dose of food poisoning for a few days that's cleared it's way out, the relief of being able to trust a fart again is amazing

My sister sent me a video of my 11 year-old nephew chilling out and listening to Master Of Puppets the other say. Now I'm sure it's only because he watched Stranger Things lately and probably a passing fancy, but hope springs eternal.

Edit: "I onky like Master Of Puppets."

Ah well, at least it's ine of their best songs. If it was St. Anger he'd be disowned.

Getting the shop in, getting dry and warm, feet up, in front of a meaty videogame (Nioh 3). Sound.

Saw the first swallow of the season on Sunday, there's a couple of them around now. No sign of nest activity yet but fingers crossed they'll be at it soon. Always makes me happy to see them.

Lovely bird

Fierce activity the last 2 weeks

Starlings made a nest last weekend between my gutter & roof
There's a mud-nest up the eave too
I hate when I see it fallen on the ground
This one is fierce sturdy as has lasted through the winter

Saw a nice woodpecker on a telegraph pole recently. They make some noise! But in a way it's very relaxing.
