Faith No More - Angel Dust

Some fucking album, all the same!

One of the all time greats, gan amhras.

Certainly their best, a near perfect album (not a fan of RV). Saw them on that tour, they were mighty. They did a signing in Virgin that afternoon, I still have a single signed by the band.

Ustalost - Before the Glinting Spell Unvests
stunning, majestic album.

Saw FNM supporting GNR at Slane. They were great that day, alo
Also caught them live with L7 at the point on that tour.

I have difficulty deciding between it and King For A Day for my top spot of FNM though, mainly because of that final 5 song run of sheer epic perfection on KFAD.

KFAD would be a close second for me, maybe 1 or 2 songs too long.

Never took to KFAD, the production's very flat & lifeless and the songs are a big step down, bar one or two. It's better than Sol Invictus (and the Mosley albums, obviously), but that's not saying much.

It's KFAD for me, I tend to go back to The Real Thing more than Angel dust these days too

I love the songs on KFAD, but I do agree with you a bit here. Out of the post-Jim Martin albums, Album of the Year has a nicer production than KFAD.

Definitely, even though it is quite cold and sterile to my ears. It's my go-to FNM album these days - Angel Dust and The Real Thing are obviously leagues ahead of it, but I've overplayed them so much over the years that they only get the odd spin now.
