First time listening to this for a long time, it holds up well.
It is dated but there is still some great songs on it.  The title track is ripping.  Resurrection is lethal. Edgecrusher is a bag of shit.

A couple from the last few days (some not metal but for the run of it I am not splitting them out):

Parts & Labour - "Mapmaker"
I don't know what sort of a thing this is but recently came back to it and it is savage.  Noisy, ragged, poppy, upbeat but sort of miserable in itself.  Originally was sent this around 2020ish and loved it  but it wasn't on Bandcamp so I forgot about it until last week.

Gospel - "The Moon is a Dead World"
Still in rotation, nothing more to say since last time beyond it is unreal.  Have went into "The Loser" since too but more on that in a bit.

Godflesh - "Decay"
Perfect addition to the catalog.  Complete horror and oppression.  Shame we won't ever get to hear these live but fuck it is just unreal.

Kulk - "Choosing to Die"
Still on regularly, gets better every listen, punishing stuff.

Spoiler
All above in order for the drive out, hike, and back on Moylussa the other morning.  Some soundtrack to this.

Porcelain - "Today's Minor Victories"
Loved the last album, saw lately that a new one went up the other week, had it on a few times now and it is class.  Post-Hardcore, Noise Rock, was particularly loving the mix on this too and the feel of it and lo and behold it is Scott Evans mixing again.  Anyway, great songs, straight into an AOTY list.

Frontierer - "Ultraviolet Parasite"
Demented.  Feels like being put through a wash.  Big bastard noisy riffs, chugging, blunt, chaotic, overblown, a style and production that usually doesn't do much for me but the whole thing is so hellish I can't leave it alone, pushed to the absolute hilt, great stuff.  Hard on the auld headphones mind

Gospel - "The Loser"
Alright yeah this is savage.  Took me a few goes but it is every bit as good as "The Moon..." just different in approach.  Way louder keys section, loads of bizarre riffs, vocals like a lad about to lose his mind the whole way through, lethal.  Leaning more on the prog side of things than the other album but to no loss of quality whatsoever.  On nearly daily for a week now.

Some photo there lad, nice.

Yeah, Edgecrusher is poor alright but it pisses on the rap track on Digimortal! The nu metalisms on it really date it but there are some great tunes there all the same. Freedom Or Fire is basic enough but probably the heaviest track on it (bar the Wiseblood cover on the digipak).

Don't know anything there Ochoill apart from Godflesh  but you've spiked my interest with your descriptions and the effort you put in. Doing one of those long ass posts is a pain in the hole, a man's equivalent of giving birth, at least that's how I feel afterwards!

I had this on the headphones earlier it's intense enough

The images in my head of Thorn giving birth might have just ruined this thread for me now

Intense is the word. It's like Harms Way on more steroids.
