Only had one spin of the Forbidden but it went down well with me I must say, one track in particular about 4 or 5 in, dude was really taking an Anderson vocal pattern from something, Step By Step maybe, ..but yeah it's an early,.tentative thumbs up from me. It helps when you go into an album really wanting to like it of course.

New Wolves in the Throne Room is hitting the spot.

New Swans live album is incredible.

A bit more of Handel's Messiah. I'm starting to develop a little taste for opera singing.

Godflesh- Decay. Is that warpy section in Master and Slave a nod to My Bloody Valentine, I wonder.

Strange, it's an objectively awful album. Generally thought of as Maiden's low point. Even the remastered version is only OK.

It's definitely a bit on the raw side for Maiden, but it's fucking great. So much energy and loads of deadly, post- classic era stuff on disc 2, which is the one I've been spinning. It works for me.
