Extreme - Waiting For The Punchline

A lost gem. Fiercely melodic but with a lot more grit than they were ever given credit for.

Vektor - Terminal Redux

Superb and hopefully not the last we get from them.

Saqra's Cult - The 9th King

Disanto confirmed he's working on new stuff so hopefully might see something out this year. Blake Anderson's drumming is going to be badly missed though, loved his work with them

Myrkr- Black Illumination

Mourning Beloveth - Rust & Bone
Opeth - Orchid
Opeth - Blackwater Park

I decided today to try and come back from that stretch of almost 10 years where I just couldn't listen to anything by Opeth without it absolutely wrecking my head because of how formulaic they became.

Dissection - The Somberlain

Decapitated - Organic Hallucinosis, Vitek was some drummer

Morbid Angel - Blessed Are The Sick

Altars didn't really do much for me when it came out but I loved this. I remember listening to it a lot at the time, particularly on the way to band practice - I was playing in a hard rock band and not enjoying it and this album cheered me up a lot either side of of the Joviness.

Revenge - Victory.intolerance.Mastery     truly bat fuckin crazy stuff.

Over the weekend doing a bit of spring cleaning...

Necrophile "Morbid Perversion"
Needle Exchange "Kill em All With Fentynal"
Tuol Sleng Ministries "All Acts Of Genocide Are Inherently Sexual In Nature"
Various - "Ossuary Vol. 1" compilation
Godflesh "Streetcleaner"
Bacillus "Serial Infector"
Toadliquor "Feel My Hate, The Power Is The Weight"

Chlanna Nan Con Thigibh A So's Gheibh Sibh Feoil

Mgla - Exercises in Futility

Still holds up, this was the album that first got me interested in BM, looking forward to the gig in June.

Having an Icelandic Pagan Black Metal day today.

Árstíðir lífsins - Þættir úr sǫgu norðrs
Árstíðir lífsins - Heljarkviða

Soundgarden - Ultramega OK

The recent version which sounds good, not the weedy original version.

Lots of Temple Nightside. Remember not being particularly blown away by them initially but "Recondemnation" clicked with me recently and I'm revisiting the previous stuff. Simplistic but so good.
