Ended up ordering it direct from Raven's website - came signed, with a patch. Worked out £18 delivered but didn't want to miss out.

Ah..there's dedication. Will have a look at that, cheers.

Been at it too and it's growing on me, undoubtedly the most accessible Obscura album to date ..you getting any latter day In Flames vibes out of it in places or is it just me?

Can't hack the new Obscura at all at all.

I get that. The overexuberance on the fretboard had me turning it off when I first listened to it, like, lay off the energy drinks lad ferchriissake

I really liked All Hell's Breaking Loose, and I am shit with digital releases, so if I don't get it physically, I'll never listen to it.

Slayer - Reign in Blood
Sepultura - Beneath the Remains
Voivod - Killing Technology

The 3 of these classics could make my top 5 of all time.

Moonfog- Demonbreed. Really enjoying this lately. Straight to the point, no frills BM. It's hitting the spot nicely.

Geasa- Starside. Classic.

Fields of the Nephilim - Dawnrazor

Sig:Ar:Tyr - Citadel of Stars
Iron Curtain - Savage Dawn
Heavy Sentence - Bang to Rights
Manowar - Hail to England
Dodsferd -The Parasitic Survival of the Human Race
Drudkh - A Furrow Cut Short
Forever Winter - Revenge (blackened heavy metal with a folk influence is the best way I can describe this.  Finnish band who ended up doing splits with Sabbat and Ritual Steel - just a random pick from the collection).

Checked out Iron Curtain there, must look into grabbing some of their albums, good stuff  :abbath:

Suffocation - Human Waste 8.5/10
Suffo introduced themselves to the world with this crushing six tracker which heralded a new age of Brutal Death Metal.

Paradise Lost - Tragic Idol 8/10
Always a good portent when an old favourite brings back their old logo (God that lowercase font they were using was hideously bland) and this didn't disappoint, heartening back ,as it did ,to Shades.. and Draconian..

Stormwitch - Walpurgis Night 8/10
With Andy Muck on vox and Peter Langer on drums here surely these German old boys should be made Metal Warfare luminaries?

Eisenhand - Fires Within 7.5/10
Blind buy from Dying Victims, insofar as any purchase from that Trad Metal emporium can be truly called 'blind', and I'm well pleased with the this debut by the Austrians, there's more to these boys than your average Classic Metal band on DV I'd suggest.

Cruel Force - Under The Sign Of The Moon 7/10
The direct predecessor to last year's excellent Dawn Of The Axe yet this dates right back to 2011 and is a noticeably more primitive affair evoking the likes of Hellhammer, early Sodom and, of course, Venom.

Frozen Soul - Crypt Of Ice 4/10
Temperature-challenged Texans trundle their way through a thoroughly uninspiring chugfest. It takes more than having a lass on bass to make a Bolt- Thrower which is presumably what they were aiming for. Riffs?

Tank- Honour & Blood.
