Couple of big boys and a Finnish classic out this week..

Metallica - ...And Justice For All 10/10
The creative peak of the greatest Metal band of their day, I remember seeing the video for One on some Top Ten Rock Vidz show and thinking how dark and serious it was but it soon put paid to the Bon Jovi and Europe albums.

Entombed - Clandestine 9.5/10
Another break through album for me, this time into the murky world of Swedish Death Metal and Entombed were to Swedish Death what Metallica were to Thrash. These days Left Hand Path pips it but at the time Clandestine was just the right level of extremity for me.

Demigod - The Slumber Of Sullen Eyes 9/10
The pinnacle of Finnish DM, pipping Shadows Of The Past, always reminds me of the 2FM Metal Show this one, seemed to be in the Top 10 for ages. Crushing album.

Testament - Dark Roots Of Earth 7.5/10
Where Chuck returned to the clean singing and the band reintroduced The Power Ballad. A couple of fillers but a good effort.

Morta Skuld - Creation Undone 7/10
Customary solid slab of American Death Metal from these stalwarts, finally made it to the top of my purchase list and nabbed on vinyl thanks to the eye catching art.

Laceration - I Erode 5/10
YouTube listen, latest off the 20BuckSpin Conveyor Belt Of Death ™ , I don't know, maybe it's unfortunate I checked this out in a week when my random selection system was throwing out some absolute belters but if you told me this was created by AI I'd have no trouble believing it. Shit, is that what 20BuckSpin are up to???

Also had Clendestine and Slumber of Sullen Eyes on earlier, both whoppers  :abbath:

Thanks for. The Demigod reminder, that's going on when I get in from Work. I have the Xtreem version from 2010 where they changed the cover poxy orange for some stupid reason.

I love clandestine too, seen some people shitting on it over the years  but I don't get it. They died after that one for me though.

Edit: just realized why I forgot about The Slumber of Sullen Eyes, that album bores the shit out of me

I think all I need in that Finnish style is Wisdom of Darkness. It's savagely heavy and nice and short.

If Convulse and Demigod had only released two or three songs each I'd be on board but I think a full album of that stuff wears out my attention.

Vulture - Sentinels
Power Castle - Power Castle
Blaze Bayley - Circle of Stone
Judas Priest - Invincible Shield
MegatonSword - Blood Hails Steel (the gardening anthems are back)
MegatonSword - Might & Power

I like ...And Justice for all too but not hearing any bass.

Shameless Elvenking buzz all morning-Heathenreel , Divination ,Rapture
