Abyssal - Denouement

Going back to some dissonant/blackened death metal from the 2010s. I got sick of this stuff, a lot of it sounds like someone hoovering while listening to a sun-damaged Incantation tape, but there are some worthwhile releases amongst the shite.

Speaking of which, Grave Upheaval are playing here (Melbourne) in a few weeks. Going to try to make it in.

Surprised to hear they're still on the go. Never got into them, the music's too murky. I like a bit of murk but I have no interest in listening to bands that sound like Incantation playing underwater.

I have something of an opposite issue. I love bands that were influenced by Incantation but could never get into the band themselves.

Tribulation - The Formulas of Death
Necrophobic - Dawn of the Damned
Alluvial - Death is but a Door.
New Order - Movement
Echo and the Bunnymen - Ocean Rain

Ghoul-Maniaxe,We've come for the dead.

2 savage albums,been a while since i spun them!

Cemetery Urn- Urn of Blood. I haven't listened to this in many a year but they are  supporting Grave Upheaval in a few weeks so no better time to revisit. Not too bad. Probably don't need more than one CD of this stuff but I'm sure it'll be fun live.

Stallion - Rise and Ride (really good straight up Heavy Metal from Germany)
Gorgoroth - Under the Sign of Hell
Cradle of Filth - The Principles of Evil Made Flesh
Scanner - Mental Reservation
Saxon - Strong Arm of the Law

The Crown- The Burning,ferocious album
Suffocation-Despise the Sun

Vulcano- Bloody Vengeance. Savage stuff. I think Mystifier remain untouchable for SA black metal but this is wild thrashing fun. Exceptional lyrics  8)

Gravegland- The Celtic Weiner.

Emperor - Emperor/Wrath of the Tyrants
Atonement - Sadistic Invaders
Soulcaster - Maelstrom of Death and Steel
Ulver - Vargnatt
Sentenced - Shadows of the Past
Sodom - Agent Orange.

Cannibal Corpse binge tonight. The Bleeding, Tomb of The Mutilated, The Wretched Spawn and Torture.

Enthroned - Armoured Bestial Hell
Deeds of Flesh - Mark of the Legion
Cirith Gorgor - Visions of Exalted Lucifer

The Enthroned album is fucking terrible, such a let-down after their earlier releases. Carnage In Worlds Beyond is supposedly a return to form, I must give that a listen.

Entombed - Left Hand Path.
Mayhem - Daemonic Rites
Grave Digger - The Forgotten Years
Pale Mist - Spreading My Wings into the Abyss that Calls
Enslaved - Utgard
Saxon - Hell, Fire and Damnation (fairly standard fare from Saxon.  Enjoyable).
