[open face surgery]

That's the only album that's really grabbed me and mostly due to the Voivodisms of it. Must dig a little deeper.

I find Vinted is pretty good for finding cds and t-shirts. Recently picked up a few for dirt cheap.

Blind Guardian - Imaginations From The Other Side cd.

Children Of Bodom - Hatebreeder and Follow The Reaper cds

Manowar - Kings Of Metal cd

Nightwish - Oceanborn cd

Think I paid around €20 for all those.

I also picked up a pair of audio techinca m30 headphones. Absolutely unreal things.

Just grabbed a Current 93 'Dogs Blood Rising' tshirt from Evil Greed... fuck the cost of everything lately

This arrived today. Looks good, but not great. It's made from vegan material and feels a bit strange, but as long as it doesn't fall apart in the wash, and the slightly worrying looking print quality holds fast, I'll be happy. For supposedly official merch it feels a bit fuckin el cheapo, but fingers crossed it'll prove durable.

Serious fast shipping from Invictus these days. Hello Van.

Malokarpatan - Sridzie dni 9/10
2015 debut from the Slovakian mavericks and apart from the bewitching Darkthrone meets Master's Hammer style on offer this may well have the best set of song titles of any album ever.
"What the Deuce Did That Hideous Old Bag Pour Into My Cup? "
Seriously?
I won't go happily to my grave until I've engineered a scenario in which I can deliver that in my best Peter Cushing.

Voivod -The Wake 8.5/10
Undoubtedly a prog-thrasterpiece from these ever lovable space cadets back in 2018, I just prefer a bit more thrash and a bit less of the whackery in my Voivod, hell of a ride though.

Astriferous - Atavistic Unraveling 8/10
Had this latest horrific opus from the Costa Ricans on in the wee hours during the storm. THE Storm, not Storm Beola, Storm Timmy or Storm fuckin' Aonghus.

Phantom - Not Midnight Yet 7.5/10
Third full length of high speed Heavy/Thrash from the Mexicans and at nearly an hour they've  over cooked this by a good quarter of an hour. I still prefer the previous effort but, like that one, they've stuck a jarring, clean sung track on here that sounds like a pub band. Strange habit.

Locrian -  New Catastrophism 7/10
Post apocalyptic drone, glacial movements and subtle tone shifts, really nothing much happening until it blossoms unexpectedly into life about halfway through, a brief glimmer of hope in the wastelands of our demise maybe.  Always very much a time and a place band, waste of time if the missus has Strictly on in the background.

Teitanblood- Black Putresence of Evil 6/10
Pre Seven Chalices gear, the Genocide Chants demo in particular is pretty horrible to listen to and not in a good way but the quality improves on later tracks.  A curio recording of the band's early salvos.

Ah bollox, wrong thread. All purchases, just the last four were recent. To be pedantic.

[Thorn]

Wasn't the Eagle's Nest burned down recently..

[Carnage]

I heard that yesterday, but I was sure it had been demolished after the war. I must have slipped between dimensions again...
