Yeah that's the place. I didn't hear about the cult but it looks like the kind of place where many a cult would thrive

Elder - "Through Zero".

This, in my opinion, is the best thing that they've done in years - probably since "Lore". It'll never match up to that record (or the ones before it) but this impressed me enough after a few listens last week to buy a copy - having had low expectations and recently selling off my copies of their post-"Lore" albums.

Admittedly several of my pre-purchase listens were accompanied by several cans and plenty of sunshine.

I could still do with less vocals from them but, overall, this is a return to form.

Blood Storm - Saturian Reptiles
Blood Freak - Mindscraper
Nattefrost - Blood & Vomit (I have been holding off getting this for a few years but the current repress looks to be just about sold out now everywhere so I had to pull the trigger)

Saxon - The Eagle has Landed II
Saxon - Denim and Leather
Melvins - Houdini

Another quick jaunt to Utopia Records...

Black Sabbath- 7th Star CD
Black Sabbath- Sabbath Bloody Sabbath CD
Blood Incantation- Absolute Elsewhere CD
Queensryche- Operation: Mindcrime CD
Type O Negative logo cap

Such a deadly shop. Maybe not great if you're only after underground stuff, but you could easily bankrupt yourself in there  8)

Cutthroat - Invoking Terror EP
Gorerotted - Mutilated in Minutes LP

Ride For Revenge- Angels Fly Low CD,  LP and tshirt ordered from NWN! God bless  8)

Had a crazy FB marketplace find this week. Old guy posted a link to a Google doc spreadsheet that wasn't working, when I asked him he gave me some sketchy email address to contact, when I got the list there were no gradings or pressing info, just a list of records that were priced suspiciously cheap. The whole thing seemed dodgy but I knew the Madison/Blind Fury/Blacklace didn't have a modern reissue and a bit obscure for a scam so I chanced it, the fella then sends me his account details and it's some online bank, I was convinced I was being scammed but a few days later these turn up!

I couldn't believe it when I opened the trouble and it's the first metal Blade US press from 1984! I had a look on Discogs and the last few of these went for $200+  ???

And both Tokyo Blade records came with the original merch order form!

I asked him what the story was with them after they arrived and he said he bought them all in the 80s and played them once to convert to cassette and has had them sitting in storage since.

Thank fuck they arrived in one piece he sent them just fucked in a bubble envelope and not a single bit of cardboard   :-X

Bloody successful gamble all round  :abbath:

That's astonishing. Fair play to ya, most folk would have let cynicism get the better of them and pulled out. Fortune sometimes truly does favour the brave!
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

The jammiest cunt in metal strikes again

You should start charging people to pat you on the head for luck...

I lo e it when a plan comes together.

I presume you'll be going back to him? Even if you got what you wanted, you might pick up a few bots you could make a profit on...
