Paranorm - Empyrean cd

Proggy thrash in the vein of Vektor and Cryptic Shift

My Black Sabbath CD  box set arrived today and it looks like total shit. The CDs come in cheap replica LP covers, that is to say shitty cardboard sleeves with no inlay. The sleeves are too big for the CDs and the disc is inside a fucking piece of flimsy plastic film. I'm disgusted. What a rip off.

What do you mean the CDs will be kept in the box? You won't play them? I had Headless Cross on in the car just now and it sounds incredible, despite the disappointing presentation. I might yet grab the LPs  :-[  :-X

Na I meant the individual cd boxes...theyll be stayin in the main box really..cds have been on constant rotation pretty much:).yeah they sound enormous on the hifi amp

Ah! Yes, I have an empty jewel case that I'll have to use for the car.

€90, it's in the UK, there'll be import duty too

Only missing Cross Purposes and Forbidden from that box so even £54 is too much for two albums and two fancy albums I already have... Or is it...

This is so like Vektor (not a bad thing), I'm having difficulty remembering whether I've listened to it before or whether I'm just mixing it up with Vektor

Yeah, they're definitely not hiding their influences!

Good stuff though, but it's been three years since being released and looking around their social media there's been nothing posted in years so they might have packed it in. Hopefully not, love to hear a follow up

Ten Ton Slug - Colossal Oppressor

Its a ripper of an album, surprised there hasn't been any mention of it here.

It's the name man, it's the name. If they had of been called Ten Ton Steel...actually no, it's the Ten Ton part that loses me straight off.
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

I like the name but they're a class outfit regardless, I'm stone mad about the Blood And Slime ep too, its fucking class.
The main problem with the slug theme is with the artwork, its hard to artistically render a slug and make it look cool.
