Quote from: Carnage on April 30, 2024, 11:43:38 AMI dunno would I be pushed about the Bush albums myself, the only one I liked was WCFYA and even that could do with a good trim. If you count The Greater Of Two Evils then that's a good listen, and the only post-Persistence one I've bought. Saying that, I need to pick up the last two Belladonna albums, Worship Music is very good indeed and I need to give For All Kings a proper go.

Both very good..bit bloated but the strong material is very strong in fairness..loved King's when it came out..pity they played fck all of it when they were over here around then ..maybe Breathing Lightening but that was it..all a bit hazy

Evil Twin is all they played when they supported Slayer that time (and two fucking covers), that's the only time I've seen them so can't comment on other setlists.

Was it ya?..yeah was after a skinfull a beers n saw em a few times around that couple a years..setlists are a farce alright..and no reason for it..its not like they've an enter sandman or a run to the hills like..bar madhouse maybe

In My World or Only maybe? More the latter in terms of a commercial sound.

Quote from: mickO))) on April 30, 2024, 10:50:12 AMYes the price for it was ridiculous €60 for a single LP and a slipmat passed on it myself.

Yeah I got it on sale coming in about 50 euro so did some mental gymnastics to justify it.

Elder - "Dead Roots Stirring" - re-issue.

Focus - "Focus 3"

Mountain - "Climbing!"

Jodorowsky's "The Holy Mountain" - original soundtrack - re-issue

High On Fire - "Cometh The Storm" which will arrive eventually. Probably.

Mountain - Climbing! is a deadly album!

Yeah, it really is. One of those that just has to be cranked up.

That and the Focus record were bargain finds in London - less than £10 for the pair.

I must have played "House Of The King" between 10 and 15 times last Sunday. Replete with whoops and roars of "Go on, ta fuck!" from myself.

The king would've be thrown out of his own house by the queen if I'd carried on much longer.

Zemial- For the Glory of Ur DLP.
Zemial- Dusk 7".

Fuck it, I bit the bullet. Pricey old purchase but I can't get enough Zemial.

Pathologist - Grinding Opus of Forensic Medical Problems
Pathologist - Putrefactive and Cadaverous Odes About Necroticism

Bought these re-releases which are both remastered in the original correct speed.

Also bought Reek of Putrefaction by Carcass again. I sold it years ago as I thought it was a bag of shite.

Listened to it earlier for the first time in almost 20 years. I was wrong. It's fucking brilliant.

Which versions did you get? For whatever reason a few different labels have reissued these over the last few years. The Extremely Rotten Productions LPs are the best of the lot.

I bought the Extremely Rotten reissues. Are some of the other label releases a bit dodgy?

Yes people were giving out about the other releases can't remember what exactly the issues were.

Type O Negative:Life is Killing Me repress. 'tis great and one more off the wantlist!

Few scratches here and these but they'll all play no bother I think, I've bought much worse that will play in the car but won't play on the house CD player.

Maximum price was about 8 Euros for a few of them, average I paid was €5 a piece

Must check out Focus.  Not a band I have listened to before.  Any recommendations beyond this album?

The first three are your best bet. Can't say that I like much after of their output after "Focus 3".

Or just find the "Dutch Masters" compilation album which was the first thing I owned. Covers their key period.

There's a class live record as well - recorded in the US (maybe just New York) - I heard it on Spotify. It's called "Vol Huis".
