Only listening to it this evening,  its got a more metal edge to it than a lot of its contemporaries. Singer had a great ould rasp, would have given Axl W Rose a run for the money

Love that Love/Hate album.  Title track and Hell, California are some of my favourite songs from the early 90s when I was getting into metal.

Same here, bought the cassette in a little record shop in Donegal Town way back then and fell in love with it. Wasted In America is good too. Lovin' the  love for Love/Hate.
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

Enslaved - Below the Lights lp

Ordered the 20th anniversary re-issue of YOB's "Catharsis" from Relapse.

It was €22 - the shipping was €15.

I assumed that it was coming from the EU given that the prices were in Euro. However - my confirmation email leads me to think that that it's coming from the US and I will be liable for taxes etc.

Bollix.

Looking forward to getting it though. My old copy never resurfaced after I let someone borrow it.

Yeah, Relapse closed their European operation a few years ago, just too expensive to buy from their US shop.

Wasn't aware of that - and, like I mentioned, all the prices came up in Euro automatically when I followed the link from YOB.

YOB sell a fair bit of stuff through Deathwish (based out of France) but not this reissue for some reason.

Yep inquired about this a few months ago thinking it was too good to be true and they even made a point of mentioning to me that they won't mark the value of orders down for customs. I think the prices coming up in euro is an IP address thing a lot of sites doing that lately which is very annoying because they should be making it clear to people if they order that they will have to pay more before the order is handed over to them.

Evil Greed is worth a look, they sometimes carry their stuff and they're based in Germany. Handy enough.
