Some of their early releases are class

They are all being reissued by Sealed Records over this 2021/22

Ill definitely be picking them up, the vinyl i have is years old and played to death

Not exactly Punk but i didnt want to start a thread on ska but The selecter have reissued Too much pressure on vinyl which is a great album and worth picking up.

I see Conflict are playing Dublin tomorrow night. I was tempted to go until I twigged it was a bank holiday weekend. One of those bands I'd love to see sometime.

Don't know much about Punk but I often listen to Swedish band 'Randy'.
Daft name but everything except their first few releases is rock n roll  brilliance

Listening to Strikniën DC's 'Ghettoblast' album this morning. 25 odd years old now. Savage punk record.

I have that somewhere, mighty stuff. They were great back then. Anyone remember Hellvision, Deko's band between them and Paranoid Visions? Another good one, I saw them with Oi Polloi, I think it was. Mid '90s.

Never saw Hellvision or even heard them, but I remember seeing it sprayed on the wall on one of the Striknien band pics. Any stuff online?

Any of you heard Poison Ruin? Really good stuff. I'm going to buy their record eventually!

I don't think they ever recorded anything, they weren't around long. All I could find is a dodgy vid from a '93 gig I think I was at, even googling them draws a blank:

FYI Subhumans are reissuing a lot of their back catalogue (finally!) and so are clearing out a few CDs for a quid each. I just bought Time Flies/Rats, 29:29 Split Vision, Worlds Apart & a beanie for €25 delivered.

Couple of Canadian bands who are part of an interesting take on punk that's emerging here (not sure if this is everywhere or just here). Kind of 80s vibe, chorus-soaked guitars cross between punk and The Cure. Home Front are a little more on The Cure side, Schedule 1 a little more on the punk.

Post-punk is the term you're looking for.

Sounds great.

These lads, The Dirty Nil, are also from Canada. Their newest record sounds like Weezer on steroids but this one "Higher Power" is raw edged.

And I reckon that IDLES owe them a few quid - their song "Never Fight A Man With A Perm" has more than a passing resemblance to The Dirty Nil's "Lowlives"

Some great stuff here that I've never heard. Cheers.

Was going to post this in Recommended Non-Metal but it probably fits here.

This band VR SEX is the same guy that does Drab Majesty.

Edit: Probably doesn't fit here at all to be fair but I'd only listened to the last 3 or 4 links without going back over the thread!

Listen to that Schedule 1 EP at lunch and some of the Home Front record.

The Schedule 1 record is very enjoyable. The Home Front is solid but it'll need another spin.
