Wow , Mike Howe and Joey Jordison gone today?   :(

Both extremely talented individuals. Rest in Peace.

Joey was without doubt the most talented member of Slipknot anyway. That news has certainly come out of the blue.

Can't believe it lads. Joey was one of the greatest Drummers I'd ever seen. Gutted.

I'm not a slipknot fan but he was a very talented drummer.
Wasn't he diagnosed with MS?
RIP.

cant say i was a Slipknot fan but he seemed to be the main cog in the band,RIP

RIP. He can't have been that old. Was he even out of his forties?

46, Slipknot were one of the first proper heavy bands I got into, so I'll always have time for those first two albums, and his drumming was a big point of what set them apart

For all the shit they get from the Underground, loads of heads started off with Slipknot and progressed.Definitely a massive gateway band for many.

Slipknot where definitely my gateway into extreme metal particularly Iowa which to this day I belt out every couple of months. 46 is no age to be dying.

He was always the real star of Slipknot back then, I think. He was the one everyone looked at and wanted to be in the crowd as teenage fans. And as much as Slipknot were the gateway drug for heavier bands - where you'd eventually grow to realise there were plenty of other crazier bands - Jordinson was that drummer where as a youngster you just simply did not hear anything like it before.

I still bang the opening of Sic with my fingers on surfaces as a sort of subconscious thing all the time. Taking nothing away from Jay Weinberg and the more polished era of Slipknot, but in many ways the band ended with Joey.

Huge loss. Poor guy.

I still rate their third album very highly, excellent record. He was a very capable drummer, inventive and precise.

46? Fuck sake.

I've just heard that Dusty Hill from ZZ Top has died. Fuck.

Just seen that now, too.

What a cunt of a week.

Aye, died in his sleep too. ZZ Top are the coolest band I've ever seen live. Rip

Truly gutted about Dusty, sadly never got to see em'.
