If I see it for a decent price I would buy it but it could also end up being one of those releases that sells out quick from everywhere that stocks it.

The €150 mark seems to be the standard worldwide. At least with them no shipping or customs. Freebird /Sentinel might be worth checking.

Yeah if I see it somewhere else for that price I will probably get it. I won't be going mad looking for it or getting pissed off like I do about some other releases when I can't get them. Even just this week I over spent on music which is happening far too often lately.

Yeah it's a feckin' curse when that happen (currently trying to not buy Spectral Voice 😂)

I just won't spend the grade on it but the fact this stuff is remastered will at least make me steal it from my Russian pals on the torrents

So I got a listen to the last three off Disco Volante and the first one off California on vinyl the other day at a lad's house and fuck me were they great. There's a fantastic job done and the lad assures me it's all that good. A proper remaster job if ever there was one and if you thought Disco Volante was the best album ever, it actually sounds better now. Really really good job, very impressed. Will steal the torrents because I don't have a record player but I would buy a CD set of this for certain if it became available.

Is there a digital version available to buy anywhere or is it just going to be rips of the vinyl on the torrent sites?  I'm curious now.

Weird.

My copy of the vinyl version of DV is long gone due to house moves over the last 2 decades (to my absolute heartache, I should add), but I do remember the mastering of that was very poor, probably cuase it had the hidden grove and all, but you had to turn it up very loud to really hear it properly.

I will 100% grab this box set if I can get a copy either locally or from some euro mailorder for sure.

I've two copies of it - one Plain Recordings repress which is notoriously terrible and likely the same you had if it had those mastering issues, it is frustratingly quiet and sounds poor in general.  The other is the Music On Vinyl press and it is much better (not new or exciting mind, it just sounds good/fine and isn't stupidly quiet).

Yeah the three of them sound absolutely killer. Only downside is Warners being cheap with the shite white paper sleeves for the records.

I didn't hear anything off the first one I hope it sounds as good as what I heard from the other two. It sounded so open and clear without any brashness to it. Really fuckin nice. The separation really brings that extra bit of magic and little things I hadn't noticed. Not a peep out of the vinyl itself either during the silences. Clean as a whistle and probably the first vinyl I've heard that made me wish I had a player

Yeah definitely noticed a few bits on DV that I hadn't picked up on the cd/iTunes version.

Right, fuck, if there's a copy around on payday i may treat myself so. Definitely worth the money given I've been listening to each on a basically weekly basis since they were released.

John - it was the OG vinyl of DV that I had, so Warners, came with a 7". Sounded like shit.

Amazon & The Record Hub still have them.

Never knew the original was that bad, I just blamed cheap represses for years.  Neither of mine came with the 7" either so no Platypus.
