Shiran Kaïdine, guitarist with Year of No Light, Monarch, Mortuaire, Faucheuse. Also a mate of mine here. Lost a two year battle with cancer yesterday. One of the soundest lads I've ever met here

Aye , sorry Chris. Played with his bands a few times (Monarch most notably), can't say I knew him but lots of friends did and are hurting today. Rest in Power.

[Black Shepherd Carnage]

Sound lads. He'll be sorely missed. I last saw him end of February and, between telling me about being mid-search for a label for the next Mortuaire album, he was simultaneously completely zen regarding a death he knew could literally come any day, and overall just completely grateful for everything he'd been able to live, especially wrt music. One of those things where it was me, in perfect health, who came away solaced.
