New Wax Chattels album definitely has some heft to it, the rythym section is pathologically tight to the point where it feels like they're kicking you in the ribs, in the way recent Daughters some times hints at. the fact one track opens with a blast beat indicates they likely have foot in hc or metal

Heliocentrics definitely have a darkness/heaviness to them the way Portishead did.
