Beneath the remains is my favourite album but I find myself listening to the Derrick Greene era a lot these days,  especially Roorback and Quadra.

I heard they were shite the last time they were in Slane, at lot improvisational bollocks when they could have been playing songs.

Nah they were well good, Spit out the Bone was absolutely killer. Slane itself is a shite venue. Yeah nice scenery and all that but logistically it's a nightmare.

No it was at Vicar Street. I remember it well because I saw Metallica for the first time the next night. That was a great weekend.

I've never been a big fan of their music but I saw them live supporting Opeth in 2003 and they were fantastic to watch. I've had a few conversations with Alan in Bruxelles over the years too. He's a nice guy.

Been listening to a fair bit of Cephalic Carnage's albums the last few days.  Anomalies and Exploiting Dysfunction are particularly good.

Been playing Lord Gore's Scalpels for Blind Surgeons a lot lately. Such a killer album.

Demilich's  Nespithe is a true masterpiece. It's a pity they never did anything else although I think they still play the odd show. Your can hear their influence in a lot of death metal bands today like Tomb Mold and Outer Heaven.

The new Ulcerate album is pretty sweet. More accessible than their other albums, relatively speaking. Still prefer Vermis though.

Iron Maiden aren't a metal band.  They're a hard rock band with some heavy metal imagery. It only takes two minutes of listening to them to hear this.

I've been mainly listening to Devourment's  Obscene Majesty the lady few days. Such quality riffage.

Xoth - interdimensional  Invocations. An sbsolutely fantastic album that combines many different subgenres into something truly unique. It's a toss up between this and Tomb Mold for my album of the year.

Hi Guys!

Longtime  metalhead checking in. I used to browse MI back in the day but I was never a member so I thought I'd jump right in here.

I listen to most metal but have been on a brutal death  metal/ Grind buzz lately.  Looking forward to some quality metal discussion.
