I love Accept but don't really see what value this new re-recorded album has...

General Discussion / Re: Rugby
July 04, 2026, 10:15:33 PM
Great day of rugby, ended up watching all of it aside from Japan Italy game and the last 5 minutes of Scotland.  New Zealand France was a cracker, as was the Ireland game... we deserved to lose.  That try before half time was crucial.  Lineout was a mess again. While Paul O'Connell is a legend, we need to start questioning why the lineout has been so fragile for so long with him in charge. Fiji will be disappointed.  Cut Wales apart at times but just couldn't match the Welsh pack at the set piece. South Africa look unbeatable at the moment especially when you consider who was missing from their pack.  Argentina were a shadow of themselves against Scotland.  You always expect Argentina to be physical and tough, but they just didn't show up and it was an easy win for Scotland in the end. The score line flatters Argentina.

Lunar Shadow - Wish to Leave (another album I didn't listen to enough when it was first released.   Thought is was a disappointment compared to the debut.   I think I was a bit hasty in my judgement. See they have a new one out this year, I'll have to check it)

The Gates of Slumber - ...the Awakening (I see a load of their albums are being reissued.  Good doom)

Onslaught - Power From Hell (not listened to this in a while, still a strong album and holds up well for me).

Just listened to it and was just coming on to post it somewhere as I thought it was great.  Definitely one to pick up!

Transilvania - Magia Posthuma (not heard any of their other output yet, but this is a strong release on Invictus from this year)

Triumpher - Piercing the Heart of the World (they can be a bit OTT at times, but they write some good heavy metal songs)

Tokyo Blade - Tokyo Blade

Ulthar - Helionomicon (didn't listen to this enough when it was released - plenty to get your teeth into).

Manowar - Hail to England

Primordial - The Gathering Wilderness

Darkthrone - Pre-Historic Metal
Evergrey - Architects of a New Weave

Savage - Loose 'N' Lethal (couldn't for the life of me remember it until I stuck the first track on, but yeah a very solid album (maybe runs out of steam towards the end)).
Monolord - Neverending
Warning - Rituals of Shame
Mayhem - Liturgy of Death (I've said this before but I think this is actually a good album, I'm probably in the minority).
Khemmis - Khemmis
Worm - Necropalace (and I love this as well).
