I've been in the same (slow and unproductive) band for 20 years now, with absolutely no plans of stopping. We're slow by design, the band has to make room for life outside the band. We played more gigs in 2025 than we have in years and it felt great and it's vindication to get a new album recorded etc.

Gigging isn't what it used to be, I'm afflicted with a lot of nostalgia for the 2000's 2010's DIY scene where there was a lot of crossover and a lot of weirdness. I've been in other bands who were more productive and shorter lived, and I'm craving writing with new people, but it all has to feel right.

I've never been strictly a metal player, anything I've done has been odd in one way or another, and I don't want to change that, but the last few years I've been dreaming of doing something in metal that merges all the stuff I love and feel I don't hear enough of, unfortunately for that to work I think it'd have to be with other people, I don't have that kind of one man band in me.

VYK were deadly alright, taking in a lot of stuff and making it all sit together naturally. Immediate points for singing in an unaffected accent too.

Hadn't seen Wild Rocket in so long, loved it, sticking a Volvo sticker on an MS-20 definitely makes it sound better. Pink Glasses also managed to do Harry Pussy style wonk without it sounding like a total mess. Most fun I've had playing with SG since we started gigging again.

I feel like there had been less of these varied heavy weird nights the last few years but maybe they're on the way back, always been my favourite kind of gig to play or go to. Fair play Moose for putting this together anyway

This is deadly, sounds great, tone is perfect, vocals are excellent too, good balance of clarity and grit.
I love the website, nice to read the process and see detail on how it was made. Looking forward to more!

I'm mostly into music as a way to repeat myself.
I think the last doom thing I got really into that had plenty of nastiness was Disrotted. Maybe more on the sludge side of things.

I never went any further than Sub Templum with Moss for some weird reason.

I went back to Cthonic Rites and Sub Templum a few months ago, would have been the first time in years I listened to either. I remember being the same, a lot less drawn in by Sub Templum but they both still sound great to me. Tons of nasty atmosphere but never felt over the top. Nicely stripped back and raw. I don't know of much that's done that kind of thing as well since. Been tempted by the records on Fuck Yoga, might be a good excuse to finally get that Bacterium record while I'm at it...

Is there any horrible sounding stuff like this from the last few years I might have missed?

Might as well say hello, I was also decy on MI (been decy my whole life actually), though I didn't post much for years.
I'm regularly waffling on about missing chat about music online, I read the entire Local filth thread the other day and was weirdly nostalgic.

Having said that I probably won't post much here.
