I like it, but find it maybe a bit too 'sensitive' for most of the album.

Saying that, the last 2 tracks 'Man / Woman' & 'Guardian Angel' are fcking immense sounding.

Is that the one that runs faster than the original?  I listened to it once but the s/t is too engrained in me as is to enjoy it any other way.  I love the original mix.

It's a remaster of the original I listened to.

I'll need to listen to the other mix, which is on white vinyl (used for the pic disc, and is the one that Broadrick experimented with a cleaner, higher-speed/re-sampled 'rate')

The first track 'Master And Slave' is pure horrific.
I had to turn it off the other day while cutting the grass. It was too sunny!

The last track 'Consume Me' is pure bleak.
A stomper to finish the album on.

Our Justin really has a knack for delving into the darker side of existence.

I don't know what put it in my head but I found myself listening to the first Epica album yesterday on the way into town. I'm not a fan of 'symphonic metal' in general (file under: Eurovision Shite) but I actually enjoyed it at the time.

I'm not sure I'll go back to it much but I was pleasantly surprised not only by the occasional heavier vocals, but that I considered them an unwelcome interruption.

Now for ya.

A couple of us saw Within Temptation at Pinkpop in NL a good few years ago.
They were handy

Watched Ripley this week, starring Andrew Scott. Really enjoyed it. Nice and slow, beautifully shot, just very enjoyable to watch all round.

Picked this up at the weekend with some ambient techno & hip hop.

Ethiopian Funk-Jazz with a Latin influence (Horace Silver style).
Pretty good recording; good playing on it.

I found Kam chatty, in a good way.

Still a great tone to his growl.
He did 1 of his screams too during 1 song.

He did tire a bit during the set, but I was quite impressed overall.
I tired too, and left early. Ha ha.

We all know Benediction are a 2nd-tier DM band, but I appreciate their work ethic. That's Birmingham for you.
