Seam splits can be cuntish but at the same time they were great for discounts on Discogs. Recall getting Loud Love by Soundgarden for €10 new as the seller had the cover down as poor:one tiny split that you wouldn't see if you weren't looking.

Suprised they're not cutting down on the 180g to cut costs.

Quote from: Pagan Saviour on April 16, 2026, 09:16:20 PMHave IV on now and it does sound cool, can't help but feel shortchanged somewhat. Seems like everything's getting a press but with minimum effort

Definitely a lot of that going round but as long as the classics are in circulation there's no harm (except to wallets & shelf space).

Glenn's probably salty as allegedly he had a piece of the boots.

Saw one lad on insta saying his boots had more effort put into them than the new pressings.

Will switch out my first two at some stage as I've the good boots of 3&4 which look and sound class.

Maybe he's like Derek Zoolander and can't turn left?

They popped up in the feed and it was another case of "well I'm just gonna listen to Cannibal Corpse instead" after about two tracks.

Some absolutely shameless theft. Bit of a homage and showing the influences is always grand but then there's just lazy crap like this.

Harvey Keitel calls Jesus a rat fuck, reprising his role from The Last Temptation of Christ.

Seriously though, this film is bleak as fuck. Keitel is the human equivalent of a black hole. One of the most degraded, fucked up characters I've ever seen in a film. This definitely falls under the 'couldn't be made today' category.

It's a good one for sure. King Of New York will always my my go to Ferrara movie.

To be fair the only thing holding something like that from getting made nowadays is New York being expensive to shoot in and being relatively clean compared to how it looked before Giuliani turned it into the tourist trap. Plus you had old school producers who would take a chance on stuff like that.

Think Ferrara fecked off to Italy and got super Catholic.

The clientele is getting increasingly "left" shall we say and by the looks of it the acts are as well .

Man terrified of "the left" demands safe space😂😂😂😂😂

Fuck sake.

Quote from: Bürggermeister on April 05, 2026, 08:40:30 PMThe shit remixes or the originals?

Think it's the originals remastered. I don't think he'd get away with his tampering. Most of the recent pressings of RIP/Peace/So far tend to have the original mix.

Quote from: Black Shepherd Carnage on April 01, 2026, 11:23:55 PMA Holst influence on Williams has been talked about a lot re Star Wars, so I guess it's just part of his broader DNA..? Never noticed a particular similarity with the Jurassic Park theme though.

Yeah Williams has definitely mentioned him on a few docs over the years (as Poledouris and Howard Shore have too).

Think Holst gets used on temp scores often when they're putting the movie together to get an idea what they want.

Quote from: Black Shepherd Carnage on March 30, 2026, 10:57:11 AMThe Long Good Friday. Never seen it before, fairly class. Its weird off-kilter vibe, swinging from gangster to horror to even Angst-like moments, is strangely moreish.

It's a classic. Best Brit crime movie ever. Hoskins should have got every feckin' award going for it.

Quote from: Slaughterday on March 28, 2026, 09:27:06 PMCruel Force - Haneda. Not a bad album but the drummer must have got a set of rototoms for Christmas or something. Exact same Pleasure To Kill intro style drum fill every 10 seconds. Headwrecking.

Old school inspired German bands using Rototoms forever🤘
It's a savage album.
