I've always been an Abbey Road guy when it comes to The Beatles, but this one was hitting really hard for me this morning. So many fucking amazing songs. I've never been a Beatles superfan or anything, but they definitely grow more and more on me as the years go by. I can't even imagine what it must have been like to hear them in the 60s when they were completely revolutionizing music.

I picked up the CD of that in a charity shop in Sligo one day for a euro and it was one of the best euros I've spent on anything. Brilliant album, and I'd never been into the Beatles at all beforehand. Regularly throw it on

Fair set of balls on Cape Verde. Argentina are fairly shit at the same time. Raging they didn't make it to penalties

Was checking out the samples on the website from the gig and while I wasn't overly impressed with the general tightness of it all, it's still a cool idea to have decent quality of whatever gig one was at and I wouldn't mind seeing more bands do something like that

Fuck knows. If you want to supplement your diet with vitamins etc fire ahead. I just believe that vitamins from natural sources are way more beneficial to us than supplements.

Get a decent enough dinner into you and too right it shouldn't have to be supplemented

I'd recommended the rustlers range of microwaveable burgers lol lol

I just love this album and I'm not really into them much otherwise except for Fun house, which isn't as good as Bridge. I don't have anything else like this in my collection at all and it scratches an itch that seemingly nothing else does.

If anyone is familiar with it, are there other bands that would have the same buzz at all? I'd like to try a few.

If you're not familiar with Low, get in there straight away. More recently, the new Amy Rose Mills  or Cancer House lps - a little bit more ethereal than RHP but in that ballpark, the latter especially.

I am indeed unfamiliar with Low I'll go at that nice one sound for the rec

Codeine are worth checking out. Frigid Stars and The White Birch are both great.

Heard the name mentioned a lot but without any context sound for the rec there as well

I listened to Bridge again today it's such a class album

Good point. There'd have to be a fair weight of evidence before the public mickey guillotining

Also, A-Ha - Scoundrel Days. An absolutely perfect album really. So many class tunes on it and so well sequenced. Listened to it twice in a row. Super super stuff and one of those albums I've known since I was a kid and still gives me the proper buzz whenever I lash it on

Quote from: Mower Liberation Front on June 28, 2026, 08:15:59 PMRockstar doing their best to kill off the second hand game market, as well with this. If they don't bring out a physical copy, that's fine by me, I'll stick with V - after all, it's still an enjoyable game. Did the same with the latest NASCAR game, no physical copy. no worries, I play the older games.

You'd think all these fucking spastics with their "Get with the times, we don't need physical media" crap would have learned from the amount of stuff that has been removed from people's streaming services, that they had already paid for, over the past few years.

Edit: And all the cunts who'll rush out and buy the game are the same cunts who buy GTA Online cash cards.

I never got past the PS4 because of the silliness such as you describe. Can't stick the idea of buying a disc and then still not having the full game at one's disposal and also then having to be always on the WiFi to do anything. Very painful having grown up with the old way. And the disc size argument might be a goer but then couldn't games be on usb sticks or whatever but still be the full thing that's yours and that's that.

Ah well I'll just stick to old games like there's enough of them to fill up the time I'd ever spend gaming again.

All that said, if someone else gets GTA 6, I'd like a go of it at some point
