Quote from: Bürggermeister on April 10, 2026, 01:49:11 PMSpastics bringing all kinds of tanks and containers to petrol stations in the boots of their gas guzzling SUVs to make sure there's a fucking shortage for everyone else. The same cunts still haven't gotten through the bog roll they hoarded at the start of covid.

Yeah saw that myself. Guy filling his range rover plus two 25 litre containers. Absolute bellends.  :eyeroll:

Was at the dublin gig last night, have to say the band sounded as good as ever. Good mix of new and old. Defo get in early for the support act, worth seeing.  :abbath:

Quote from: mickO))) on February 25, 2026, 02:07:37 PMI went to Download in 06 and the lineup wasn't much better along with Wacken the lineups have always been filled with shite. Be nice to see Cypress Hill come over here and finally do a headline show in Ireland but no chance of that.

Anyone remember when they tried to do Download Ireland? I think it only lasted one year and was just 2 day gigs with Metallica headlining one of them maybe GnR doing the second night? We must be the only country at this point that doesn't have any type of metal festival.

At least we had strapping young lad and the weather back then if my memory serves me.Every year after that all I remember is apocalyptic rain. Last time was 2019 for me.

Agreed just back myself from it. Had low expectations but enjoyed, the brother liked it aswell and a good sign was we were chatting about it on the way home. A good stand alone scfi movie, just park the brain for a couple of hours.

Can you imagine the amount of snatch he got over his time on this green earth being 6"8 and in a band. And yet he was not comfortable with his appearance. I'm not gay but gay for Steele.

"Two-night tickets for Dublin's Aviva Stadium on 19 & 21 June cost from €121.25 to €261.25, subject to Ticketmaster charges. Concerts are subject to licence."

Anyone get the 121 euro ones at all?

Was talking to the brother briefly about 11.30am , said he got the 2day pass for the 2 of us for 130euro each(I'm sure there was some add ons at checkout.) Seated up the back at that price I'd say.
Went to checkout hotel prices, absolutely criminal. So we'll be driving.

If we leave it another 20years I'll be 70 and James and lars will be well into there 80s.

That's a terrifying passage of time there...has it really been 20 years since that trilogy of RDS gigs...

Talking to the bro today yes. 20 years. He bought his house that year so vivid memories. Playing with korn(no show), Alice in chains etc. Was a scorcher of a day. We took a selfie that day with a digital camera, Cool pic and if we go we want to recreat another see how we've changed.

Regarding work I've lived the mantra of just show up every day and be better at what you do, than the guy that's been there 10years. it's worked out fine so far.

Quote from: Eoin McLove on February 28, 2025, 10:13:28 PMI don't think I even had a stress dream about the leaving cert when I was doing it. I did so little work or study it seems to have barely registered as an event in my life, even while it was happening
Same here. Didn't care about it at the time, done OK, never went to college, never understood this whole fear about it. Just went out into the workforce and I'm still here doing fine. Don't really remember anything about it, but it was 31years ago. Haha.

Agreed, same reason why I have a gas stove. Heat the lower deck and cook also. We have always had the ability to create fire, so you can stick your heat pump where you like.
If the shit hits the fan, I have a log pile, and when that goes a chainsaw in the shed. Not freezing for no one.

As said before laying in the bath after a tough physical week, having a drink while listening to lyric and the storm brewing outside.

Cue 30mins later, extracted from above and let the heaviness begin.

Hope the power doesn't go, if it dies
Bluetooth headphones, phone and candles.
