I see they have resale tickets up for this already and had them up since Friday. A lad I work with who I will not be going to the gig with got seating tickets and said he doesn't have the option to resell so is this more underhand tactics from TM? I see someone saying on here they paid 138 for standing. I have seen a few standing resale come up for 162 as far as I know you can't resell for above face value in Ireland anymore.

I could be completely wrong here but given ticketmasters reputation I won't give them the benefit of the doubt.

Yeah, I think it's that you can't sell for more than you paid rather than face value of ticket, so that 162 is probably what they paid including fees.

I've put a Metallica 2 night seated ticket up for sale on the Ticketmaster resale because I got a 2 night standing,I paid €209 all in for it and if it sells I'll get that back but they have it up for €259

Vitriol - suffer and become
Tribal gaze - inveighing brilliance
Blood monolith - the calling of fire

Dublin Metal Events had some pictures online of Mark in action in the pit at one or two gigs back in the day. I have some floating around on a drive somewhere. I remember when MA came to Dublin, Jared Anderson was front man. Mark and H went and picked up Trey from some internet cafe where he'd been playing DOOM for fucken 12 hours or something. Mark was disgusted at that haha. This guitar legend playing DOOM for 12 hours instead of jamming all day.

We met morbid angel after the Rosetta show in the bar,David was playing a fruit machine and wouldn't sign anything until he had finished even back then mark was pissed off at bands who didn't or wouldn't meet or sign stuff for fans,he called Mike Patton a wanker because he wouldn't sign his t shirt when we seen them in the Ulster hall the rest of fath no more were dead on,Roddy talked to us for ages and mark loved that,we met Vinnie Paul and Rex after pantera supported megadeth in Belfast and that was one of the best memories I have of mark and myself being at shows he was a bit star struck like myself hahahaha

Haha any time you hung about with him you'd have a story. Like the time he was teaching me to do Frank Mullen growls while we staggered down O'Connell St. A nice cop following us begging us to settle down while Mark climbed the Anna Livia howling. We got to Fibbers and he climbed the phone box and howled some more before a Paddy Wagon came and the guards dragged him down and took him to Store St. I ran to Store St just in time to see him wrestling two guards at the counter. A few months later I asked if anything came of it and he said "Aye bhoy, I was in court and the guard told the judge I was howlin' on top of the phone box. The whole court was laughin' at me bhoy'. He'd say that with a straight face too, I was on the floor laughing. Hilarious bloke altogether.

Now that's a fuckin story hahahaha,he was a bear of a man I can see the 2 cops hang of him like burbles on a Christmas tree, years ago we went to see morbid angel at the Rosetta bar in Belfast and he was still a young buck he decided he wanted to crowd surf, now considering the Rosetta wasn't a big venue he ran from the bar to jump on top of the crowd but the floor was soaking wet with spilled beer,he slipped as he jumped and done a slide tackle Roy Keane would of been proud off and took out about 5 lads I fuckin buckled laughing, what a lifer that man was

Was in a band with Mark back in the day in Dublin. Hadn't two words to say to me for the first few weeks we rehearsed.
Then I said the magic line "Have you ever heard Gorguts Considered Dead?", best mates after that.
RIP Mark Higgins. Miss you and love ya big man.

Marc.

Beautiful mate and what away to become best mates,I'm sure you've a few stories to tell hahahaha 🤘

The horns were raised to the stars over the mountains tonight, Rest In Peace Brother.

🤘

Yeah..I'm still reeling from this news, we had a mutual friend in Francis from The Angry Host so there were a couple of hazy sessions in Monaghan, always remember him as somewhat of a gentle giant, you always knew you were in the presence of a lifer, a guy who loved his Metal and Hard Rock , an easy guy to talk to and get on with but you never felt you had to say anything ..if that makes sense, just comfortable in his company. I remember getting a little bit of a kick out of him coming back to my place and going through my collection, affirmation from him on various albums he pulled out...ah, this is so sad, thank you for marking his passing on here, will have to dig out that first Arcane Sun album. I was stoked when I realised he played on that record halfway through one of those sessions, a real cool thing to be able to drop into the conversation!
Slainte Mark lad, may you find your peace beyond.

What a beautiful tribute my friend, one of my lasting memories is when I arrived in to his house with obituary slowly we rot on cassette,he couldn't get over how cool the cover art was hahahaha, from that it was a friendly competition who could get the heaviest music out there,we both picked up eaten back to life on vinyl the same day hahahaha, his knowledge was unbelievable and later on in life he travelled a lot to see the bands we loved,I asked him the last time we chatted from all the live shows he had been to what was his favourite and without thinking he said six feet under in Germany was his most favourite show,we chatted about the time we met morbid angel after the show at the Rosetta bar in Belfast way back in the early 90's,his humour was amazing,I gave him my signed copy of unleashed where no life dwells and you'd swear I gave him a bar of gold,as you said he was a lifer, anytime I seen mark I was always in a death metal shirt and that started a conversation that lasted an hour or more, music, craic and everything in-between,a beautiful soul taken to soon

Never knew the fella personally, clearly well loved and respected. Condolences.

Cheers,Proper lovely fella mate,he lived a very full life but still gone to soon

Damn, this is awful news, Mark was down in my gaff in Monaghan a few times..ah this is shocking

He was one of a kind mate,he will be sorely missed
