That's deadly.
The Pleading
Incarceration Plague
I can't help but think if Pat was a hip hop artist he would be dead right now. Oh well, I guess the cop was a heavy metal fan.
Gas, they just signed up for the next American leg of the Slayer tour!
Jack Owen and Bob Rusay are available!
Is Alan West out of jail yet to do some fill in work?
He took not getting the Hanneman role badly, it would appear.
Was he a contender for that Juggo?
No, and that cut even deeper.
Anybody know the full story here? What brought this on? Was he on drugs or did he just snap and go crazy?
The guy who owned the property Pat was trespassing on was quoted as saying he was out of his bin. Claiming someone was after him.
was he... sentenced to burn!
It's pretty metal though ha ha ha
It actually made me enjoy Cannibal Corpse again
I feel sorry for the buck. Seems he was off his bin on something and went on a ramble/rampage. Does he even remember any of it. Waking up to the prospect of 30 years in jail. Fuck.
I imagine it's like waking up after a heavy night of drinking and realising you were acting the twat, but 100 times worse
Sign him up and create another "The Fear" thread. His tale will be hard to beat.
^ exactly. Bad case of the Fear right there.
Poor guy, I feel bad for him. He's clearly in a bad place. I like a few CC albums, none if which he plays on, but he always seemed sound. Clearly battling some demons.
Joking aside, glorifying his actions and all, but I'd be let down if he was incarcerated and kicked out of the band. He is a hero
Have any of the guys in CC ever been in bother before? I know to non-metal folk they probably come across as horrible monsters, but as far as I'm aware they're all pretty chill dudes and this is the first time I've heard anything bad involving the band.

Apparently flame throwers are legal in Florida, and no meth lab according to this.

Current members or past? Off top of my head Jack Owen played a solo country guitar set at a Hammerskin Nation white power festival back around 2009/2010...also played guitar on white power band Attack "fade away" album around same time....

Naturally. it's Florida.
One would have assumed that of all places Florida wouldn't allow flamethrower's.
Have you got a problem with freedom, son?
How else do you cook a 'gator steaks? :laugh:the
Obviously, some imbalances in this guy's head. Get help before it escalates into something like this.

It's Florida. It's probably legal to own tactical nuclear artillery in that state as well.
Deicide's flamethrower intro will have a whole new meaning for me now, maybe Jones was weary of O'Brien coming with flamethrower. Drink, drink the wine...
I see on an initial report that the house was rented - nasty for the owner!
He's lucky that he wasn't shot dead by the police, if he ran at them with a knife. They don't need much of an excuse to open fire over there.

Lol no. When I lived in Portugal you couldn't drop a match in the summer for fear of starting a wildfire. A military grade flamethrower wouldn't strike me as the best idea in searing heat.

Mental that $16k has been raised for someone that should have been nominated for a Darwin award...
He's out of jail on a $50,000 surety bond. Looks like it was more of a psychotic incident than a meth one. Still pretty fucked though.
Yeah, I think he had to pass a drug test to get bail.
Looks like he's out on bail which means he passed a drug test so this was most likely related to mental health. Funny how so many people love jumping to conclusions and condemning someone before the facts come out. I hope he gets through this.
If it turns out to have been a psychotic break he might stand a chance of beating prison. As a few said already, Cannibal Corpse were never a band one would have associated with wild excess and drug use.
Reports are saying he had a silly amount of guns. Or maybe that's a normal amount if you're a big fan of guns, like how some of us have guitar or CD collections?
"The stash included about 50 shotguns — including one with a barrel illegaly sawed off to about an inch past the stock — 10 semiautomatic rifles including a couple of AK-47 variants, two Uzi-style rifles and 20 handguns, according to a search warrant."
"called relatives warning about "the rapture" and that "aliens have landed."

Pretty sure he shows off the collection in the Documentary they released a few years ago.

I heard somewhere before that although there are 90 to 100 guns per 100 Americans an awful lot of them don't own one. The majority of the guns are held by super gun owners who have massive stockpiles of them.

Fair enough, if there were no flame throwers then (just guns?), I'll eat my hat.
The link to "Arsenal found in burning home" sounds interesting to me as a Spurs supporter :P
