I never wanted to switch from iTunes never had too many issues but just updated my Mac Book today and now the column browser option has been removed so that's the last straw for me I am fed up with Apple telling what I can and can't have makes no sense removing this feature. It took them an entire year to sort out the missing lyrics issue each time you synced music to a device back in 2016.

Now also with the new update it's forcing me to resync every song to my phone with no warning that this was going to happen.

Can anyone recommend a good program to me for storing my music and syncing it to my iPhone. Basically something that works the same as iTunes but better. I have over 500gb of music that I have been adding to for about 15 years so I also need something where I can just connect my current iTunes library to it or something. Reloading everything onto a brand new program is not an option and I also need something that allows me to add lyrics for each song.

View your library as "Songs" and you should have column browser.

Thanks but it's been completely removed the program isn't even called iTunes anymore it's now called Music.

Audiobooks as well have now all been pushed to iBooks and of course most of mine didn't seem to transfer over properly. For a billion dollar company like Apple how hard is it to employ IT people who actually know what they are doing. Every time they they make stupid changes like this it causes so many issue.

I'm not sure how it is on iOS, but foobar2000 is the best music player on Windows. It's main strength - and weakness - is that it's highly customisable. It might take a while to suss it out and set it up just how you like, but once you do nothing else comes close.

Pretty sure you can sync your Apple tunes with it.

Thanks I will try that.

All my artwork is gone from my phone now as well  >:(

Yeah I can't make any promises to how well it works on iOS but it's a great bit of software on Windows.

Ah sorry, didn't realise they had killed it altogether on the Mac. There's no way to install an earlier version? I have the Music app on iphone and found it unusable. It's not really designed for people who own a music collection. I use Picky for music on the iphone now, not sure if there's a version for the full-on IOS setup.

I think I would have to install a completely new OS (the one I just upgraded from) to be able to use iTunes again I can't imagine that being quick and easy to do with the way Apple do things.

The app itself on the phone for me is fine the only thing that annoys me is the way artist pictures appear and according to Apple you can't change these yourself they just seem to randomly appear most bands don't have them then the ones that do are for the most part wrong.

The Norwegian band Mare has this picture next to it

I will look into picky and see what is it is like thanks.
