Anyone else at the gig tonight?

Danko Jones and Baroness played great sets, then Volbeat come on and 1 minute into their set the singer storms off stage.

We're standing about for 10-15 minutes and then the singer comes on and says they're having some technical issues and his in ear monitors aren't working, but he's gonna give it another go.

So the band come on stage and they start again. A minute later he says "I'm sorry, this isn't gonna work" and leaves again. Another 15 minutes go by and they get some poor roadie to come on and read a statement saying the gig has been cancelled and refunds are available from point of purchase.

Cue an avalanche of pints flying onto the stage and a load of fangirls at the front crying.

The least rock n roll thing I've ever seen at a gig. Whatever happened to "the show must go on"?

Just saw a couple of videos pop up. I'm guessing there was more going on behind the scenes or do they always get on like Axl Rose?

.

Would you not pay more for them to fuck off? I mean, I like one Danko Jones album (Fire Music) and the first 3 Baroness EPs, but Volbeat? G'way..

Gig in Dublin going ahead - confirmed by the venue on Twitter.  :)

Any idea of the stage times for last night? Going to it tonight and can't find anything about it

i just don't get that band at all. Pile of shit. I almost went for Baroness but couldn't justify paying that much for 30 minutes...and now wish i did as guys are getting a refund. The reasons being given for walking off sound strange.... to me he  looks like  hes taking a panic attack or something and had to get out of there
Same. To each their own, but they're the kind of hurdy gurdy, generic racket I wouldn't put too many rungs above Nickelback and the like. Good ol' boys.

Tonight (via Boards.ie)

Doors 6pm
Danko Jones 6.30-7pm
Baroness 7.30-8.30
Volbeat 9pm

Volbeat are some amount of shite, at least you got to see Baroness for free. Go and watch a lot of ice hockey in Belfast and they play that awful song about being a Volbeat warrior about once every 45 minutes, truly horrific.
