Might be of interest to members, an eclectic lineup downstairs in Fibbers.

Wednesday June 19th 8pm €6 Fibber Magees DOWNSTAIRS  :abbath:

JOEY MOLINARO (USA)
(Blackened Violin Grind Folk)

Logging a thousand performances in 44 states and 25 countries "twisting and warping minds," (Decibel Magazine) Pittsburgh-based experimental black metal/ solo grind violinist Joey Molinaro's "stomping and ferocious playing is inescapable" (Foxy Digitalis).

Acoustic or electric, Molinaro "executes the spirit and function of hardcore punk and Appalachian folk" (Foxy Digitalis) with "vocals [that] haunt, like a preternatural voice from beyond the pale" (Razorcake).

Avant-garde grindcore black metal biker swinging by Dublin to melt minds.

THE DEADLIANS
(Gurriers, Post Punk Folk)

Dole queue jams to usher along the end times. Shuffling-stupor-strings layabout-rhythms and warm-can-melodies. Sounds like the five lamps.

RISING DAMP
(Synthy no-wave solo project)

Rising Damp is the solo project of visual spore and musician, Michelle Doyle. Originally a punk slime player in Sissy, Damp expanded her practice to infect drum machines, synths, poorly ventilated bathrooms and spoken word. Bloops where there should be bleeps and viscous digs for corporate creeps.

LUXURY MOLLUSC
(Dungeon- crawler Electronics)

The solo atmospheric harsh noise and industrial scrap project of Stu Mollusc. Ditch-drones, traumatronics, and urgent lacanian dirges.

The Thin Air have written a far more sensible blurb if thats your thing;

"US blackened violin-playing grind folk artist Joey Molinaro is set to headline an experimental noise bill downstairs at Fibber Magee's on June 19. A relentless tourer (over 1000 shows across 25 countries), he flits between acoustic & electric instrumentation, executing the spirit of punk & Appalachian folk simultaneously. Check his work on Bandcamp.

Supporting are Dublin misanthropic folk chroniclers The Deadlians play - listen on Bandcamp - Sissy's Michelle Doyle, aka Rising Damp - an incredible new drone-laced anarchic industrial project, check her Soundcloud - and harsh noise & scrap project Luxury Mollusc - have a listen to his recorded work."
